I recently installed my 2 post lift in my barn which has a 10' ceiling.
I purchased some Astro under lift stands which didn't go low enough.
So I got out the abrasive chop saw and cut down the legs 9" to give me a 40" minimum height.
I know I could have purchased a lower profile stand, but by chopping my Astro stands, I get a higher maximum height.
Anyway, I found that I needed to clamp the legs in the saw at 10 degrees vertical, and 10 degrees horizontal to match the original leg angle. Sure beats a hacksaw.
One cut per leg.
