While I had analysis paralysis choosing between a few different 10k overhead lifts (atlas pvl-10, apex10, challenger sa10) I found and bought a Ravaglioli 10k that is about 4 years old and sat in a barn disassembled most of that timefor about $1/3 of what I planned to spend on a chinese lift
the thing is a beast I'm very impressed with the lift compared to to the 9k rotary at work.
I was specifically looking at the atlas pvl10 and SA10 for the lower overhead bar height (in low setting). I need to drop the Rav overhead beam about 6" but I'm trying to maintain the ability to switch back to the height for when I build my barn in a few years. Will have plenty of room to drill the column extensions without cutting. I was hoping to not shorten my equalizer cable and instead use pipe for spacers (stumbled across greg Smith's video). I'm wondering if anyone here has used that method? Are the pipe spacers stable enough with the cable adjusted or should they be welded into place or at least installed with a floor flange at the base for more stability?
I still have a bunch of cleaning in the garage to do before I put it up so I've been mentally occupied with overthinking this lol.
