Shortest ladder that can use an offset

I have an offset, which I've used on my 20 foot ladder to clean gutters, etc. However, there are times I could use that offset inside, if I had a shorter ladder. I only see 8' and larger. Is there a 6' ladder that would accept a ladder offset/standoff?

look for someone selling a damaged extension ladder for cheap and cut to size? I sometimes see them that have been dropped and have a bend on the one end so they sell cheap and buy a new one.

Aluminum could easily be cut then file off any rough edges. Cutting wheel, hacksaw, jig saw, sawzall. If not sure, do a practice cut at the messed up part first.

Folding multi-position ladders (like Little Giant brand), usually have offset or wingspan type attachments as an available accessory. You can detach a single segment of one of their larger ladders or else buy one of their small ladder sizes and use it along with the offset attachment to make a quick 5-6' tall ladder with a stand-off to the wall. That's what I do.

I don't know if there's a way to attach regular extension ladder offset (like a Werner) to a small standard ladder. The fold out legs of a standard ladder would get in the way of the offset attachment. Cutting yourself a custom length single ladder section from a damaged extension ladder and attaching your existing offset to it as needed (like others have already mentioned) is likely your cheapest and possibly also the easiest option.

I see a Shelf ladder and winder if my offset, designed for extension ladders would work. Don’t believe it would.

Are you guys talking about separating an extension ladder then cutting it? It’s the separating I wasn’t sure could be done. I never looked closely at mine.

They can easily be separated. You anywhere near Ambler (SE PA is kind a large area)? On FB marketplace there is someone selling an assortment of aluminum ladders for $40 each
