Collect shot glasses when I travel and looking for any idea to display them in garage. Never drink out of them, just want to see them. Anyone?

You can buy a generic rack on Amazon for $100 but this is Garage Journal so we’re gonna tell you to build your own. Maybe salvage some lumber from an old redwood deck or maybe hardwood from a discarded old dining room table. Run it through your table saw and make a glass fronted cabinet something like this one I found by searching Pinterest for one minute.

I strongly suggest glass to protect from dust. You don’t want to spend an hour every month or 2 washing those shot glasses.

I have experience in this based on my building things to house my wife’s wine cork collection.
(500+)

Build it at least twice as big as your current collection to allow for future growth.

Think how nice it would be to have backlighting or LED strip lighting.

I'd create a nice wood enclosure with countersunk holes to seat the shot glass. Inside the enclosure, I'd try to mount RGB pixels to provide individualized backlighting for each shot glass (though you may need to box in each RGB pixel to prevent light bleed between adjacent LEDs). Then you can program your own lighting glows, colors, and effects per pixel/shot glass from a computer.
