Ok ,so this morning I was browsing my local pawn shops. I came across this vintage proto top tool chest, with a assortment of odds and ends, and prolly 10 proto wrenches. They were asking 75$ ,I got them down to 60$ cash out the door. (but I didnt have any cash on me told them I would come back) Is this worth it? This is not the box ,but one I found on google just like it.There in about the same condition. Just some light surface rust on the bottom right corner. So what do u guys think, should I jump this deal or ???

If I get it I would restore it back red and polish the handles.

here what it looks like.

I would if I needed it. I have a matco with the same drawer layout. Only thing I don't like is that deep middle drawer.

For $60 with tools I think it is a good deal.... If you need it.

Good job on offering a lower price without cash in hand.

60 seems like a decent deal especially if it has a bunch of proto tools inside.

Buy it.......that's a Waterloo built box. It's built like a tank. I had one just like I bought in '71 new and it took everything I could throw at it for 15 years..:rocker: The only reason I got rid of it was because I traded up to bigger box.

If she knew how to use those wrenches they'd be in the box or on a nut rather than teasing and covering those.....boobies

I have that box. It's a good deal at $60 and it's a great box. You'll be glad you bought it.

My dad gave me his proto box, pretty much the same as this one( it has 9 draws on the top instead of 7) and it is great box cost him over $1000au when he bought it new so $60 it a total bargain, go for it you won't regret it
