ok GJ experts...

I've been monitoring my local craigslist for a good vise for a while now- seen lots of $500 bullets. I just want something durable and functional.

So what's the story on the Wilton 'Shop King'? Never seen or heard of this model before, but the price is in range. So is this a decent deal?

That's a fair deal. I sold a 5" version last year like for $50, but it was missing one pipe jaw. It's a decent vise, but you look hard you can find a heavier Reed or Columbian for the same money.

Another vote for picking up that Wilton. As long as there are no cracks or repairs and the action is smooth all the way out and all the way back in again, you're getting a fair deal. Not a "you ****" but fair.
If shipping wasn't too bad, I for one would cash you out for your $50 if you decide to replace it with a heavier vise in the near future.
I bet other guys would make the same offer.

Hell for less than 500$ you can get the 75th anniversary model and a hammer and I paid 344.48 shipped. Just saying if you want a new one and get a free hammer as well.

Went to see it today, had a decent sized crack in the fixed side. Owner was definitely aware of the crack, the root had been drilled. I passed- the hunt for a good vise continues.

You might want to consider selling your next 4 inch bullet on eBay instead. They go for significantly higher prices. Check it out.

This one just sold for $405
