I 99.9% American made tools when I can unless I really need a specialty tool and cannot wait or find a U.S.A made one but then.... I found nepros..... I bought 4 of the of the dozen or so ratchets I've seen them make and the are really nice. I don't plan on exclusively buying them I tend to buy williams for my go-to U.S stuff and have also been sk set building....

Guilty? did you steal the money you spent?
I get some of the flag waving, pride in US manufacturing, and supporting the home team but, some here take it waay too far. :wtf:
If you're having buyer's remorse because you don't care for the thickness of the ratchet head, that's a different issue. Some of my favorite ratchets and tools I own aren't made in the USA but, I have a large selection that is. Buy what you want as long as you can afford it.

Every American, regardless of how Proud you believe you are, eventually succumb to or fall pry to the use of a foreign made item in their life time.

True I've always had to buy American they are the only tools that would hold up abord my lobster boat everything else rusts quickly... one other socket at least I've found that holds up well believe it or not is Carlyle I had to weld a socket on the end of a crank for my lobster box and that Carlyle has been getting direct salt water splashed on it for 5 years without a spot of rust .... cheep tools like husker and craftsman rust up just because of the salt air on my boat...

I usually buy CDN or USA, hate the China ****, I just had a Proto/Challenger ratchet replaced , that I had from the 70's , my dad used to sell them , after all these years the company "Stanley" replaced it free, great service , they even sent me a re-build kit for the 1/2 dr, ratchet. New 3/8 dr is the black one . R

It's not the consumers responsibility to subsidize American manufacturing.

Nepros tools are A1
Some of the remaining us brands are hard to get your hands on now or are backorder for months williams and wright are about the only 2 I can get besides tool truck stuff... sk... we will see I guess

I like supporting American companies but they need to support me with quality tools that are worth the price I am asked to pay along with honoring the warranty if/when needed.
I own two Nepros ratchets and really like them.

It was a joke to highlight that he is using non American made things already. Buying a quality item from somewhere outside the U.S. should not leave somebody feeling guilty.

Japanese tools don’t count. They are like beer or chocolate calories, you just indulge and say whatever. 😁

Besides, they are too good not to buy at least something from Ko-ken, Nepros, etc.

No.

Buy what you want/can afford. Yes, I do sometimes seek out USA made options, but I'm also looking at value & quality.

The best screwdrivers I've found are Vessel. The USA made ones I have/had just are not that great.

Should you feel guilty about buying really well made tools from outside the USA? No.

Now if we're talking about taking pictures of said ratchets next to a toilet, with a box of hair coloring that features an avocado on the cover then yes, you may have some explaining to do.

Me, but it's because they are competitively priced, easy to get, and good quality. Buying domestically made stuff is working class solidarity but I ain't looking to make a charitable donation when I do it. I'm not supposed to.

I just ordered a fireball mega square. Personally I think half the premium for usa made tools is the label on where it came from, and not that input labor costs are higher. fortunately for fireball there isn't a cheaper option that is equivalent....whenever there is I'll be happy to support the other guy who probably isn't making 70% margins.

The fireball squares are truly amazing. Such a time saver but yeah they are nosebleed priced.
