How are the impact swivel sockets from Harbor Freight?
When you use a convoluted swivel extension to remove a bolt,
do you get scared you will not bee able to rethread it back in ?
I have a set of the HF swivels without the spring. I bought them a few years ago. I've used them a handful of times and work for what I need. only used at home.

I would really love to get the 3/8drive metric/standard deep and shallow ones.

Did the spring pop out, or did the set come without the springs? If they came without the springs, what is the part number? Would be interested, Thanks
came without springs. i'll see if there's a number on them.
One of each brand. 12 and 6 pt. Go for it lol.
Yes and yes
Should you, idk but I do. My 3/8 get a step up adaptor all the time
I'd get 3/8 first. Seems the most versatile.
Forget the HF stuff. Just go gearwrench, Sunex, or Grey Pnuematic.
Anything in the $40-$50 range?
Gonna be more, but will be worth it.
I'd use a reducer (step-down) if that's the case, it always seems like a larger drive socket is set to last a tad bit longer than a smaller drive as well slightly larger edge on torque; hopefully the ratchet doesn't snap; it'd be the socket if a larger drive was used on a lesser drive socket.

I don't know exactly what you're trying to say.. but I use a 3/8 swivel with a 1/2 inch steup up on a half inch gun all the time. All of us do for transmission work.
If it breaks, that's why It says snapon![]()
Thanks, I think that's the older version which came without springs, the new one I purchased recently came with springs.
Are there any impact swivel sockets in the Harbor Freight price range without the springs?
Do you all have both 3/8 and 1/2 impact swivel sockets, or just the 1/2 set?
