Should I repair cracks before grinding for profile?

As the title says should I? Or should I repair after and flatten with a putty knife? Ill be using rustoleum epoxy crack filler and will be renting a diamond grinder to get a better profile and grind away spots that etching and degreasing couldnt get rid of. Thanks yall!

Patch/fill prior to grinding and definitely prior to sealing.

I had grinder first because not all cracks were visible when I did my floor. I used the Edco dual head diamond grinder over the whole floor. The opened up the cracks. Then blew out the cracks with compressed air and filled with the two part epoxy crack filler. Let that dry completely and I just used an orbital sander with maybe 120 grit paper over the cracks to smooth out any high spots. Not sure what type of coating your putting down but after one thinned downed coat of SW Tile Clad and then another unit thinned coat of Tile Clad the cracks were no longer visible and that was with white paint. Hopefully that helps you.
