Show me your Fruit Stands!

I need to build a fruit stand to sell off my excess blueberries. I'm trying to come up with a good sales stand plan or design to use. I plan on selling pint containers (little green paper pulp containers).

I'd like to see whatever you have that you use to sell your excess fruit, vegetables, or eggs etc. on the side of the road.

Give us more info. Is this a permanent thing, like will you use it year after year? Will you be manning it during the day?

When I was a kid my Aunt wanted to run a farm market. We hauled a, probably 10x15' shed over there and cut out windows in one side. We eventually added on another 8x10' or so to serve as a cooler as the business grew. But we manned the thing 8 hours a day.

A neighbor growing up would sell their extra produce on the honor system. They have a probably 8x6' small shed that has a little window and a counter. They just set everything on the counter with a little lock box and folks stop by and purchase what they want and I think they take the stuff in at night.

Those are two I'm familiar with. I was a teenager when my Aunt setup hers. I have fond memories of staying up all night and going to the produce hub at 4 in the morning picking out cantalopes and sweet corn. Good times!

I'm planning on using this for multiple years, and will be manning it but also leaving it unattended while I have to work. I plan on running it off the honor system as well, even when I am there because I don't want to have to sit there and not be picking or doing field maintenance.

I have left over OSB, cedar siding, corrugated fiberglass roofing, and lots of 2x4s. I plan on making it very sturdy and painting it to make it last longer. I'm leaning toward a something semi-permanent that I can store during the winter out of the way.

I'm looking for a WIDE VARIETY so I can plan a good pattern.

I’ve always liked the idea of using a wagon. Maybe something like this. Can be moved when the season is over.

I like seeing what others on GJ are doing and lending a hand when possible.
But... when it comes to fruit stands... I got nothing.

The communists who run our town make us go before the planning board for permission to sell vegetables or anything from private property. Then they put all kinds of restrictions on it so that it has little chance of working out. They are dicks.
