Has anyone ever bolted 2 of these units side by side?

I bolted 3 of them plus a side cabinet and the side drawer together as one unit. I have pice in my album. For the money, a great box. Was a lot better deal when you could use 20 off coupons.

I think they'd get pretty tippy going end to end and moving them. I thought about it, figured put swivel casters on both ends of the lead box and remove the next set down on the trailing box OR build a heavy duty frame to put them in and just have casters on one end and solids on the other and eliminate the middle 4 all together. Also wish the 20% off worked, I've built 2 work benches that I could fit 4 more under but that isn't going to happen at another $350 a pop.

If by "side by side" you mean back to back then yes several of us have.

This is one of the larger threads on them with lots of mods:

It got me thinking about them and eventually buying and modding.

Here you go, but i left it so i could roll it out.

I really like the Black drawers, One question tho, are you just painting the fronts or then entire drawer? Pics would be great.

I only painted the face of the drawers on mine. Too much work to do the whole thing I would think. I also left the top of the drawer red above the drawer pull. Kinda like the breakup between the black.

Mine is stationary even though I left the wheels on, but I don't think even putting 2 of them together would be something that you would easily move around if they were side to side. Back to back may be a little easier to move around though. They also get pretty heavy when you have 2 boxes together and loaded with tools. Probably going to not be something you would want to move around often.

added this pic again for reference

IMG_0004-4.jpg

Top box:

three on the upper left- 23 5/16" x 2 7/8"
lower left- 23 5/16" x 6"
three on the upper right- 13 3/16" x 2 7/8"
lower right- 13 3/16" x 6"

Bottom cabinet:

top drawer- 37 3/4"w x 4 13/16"h
five on the left- 23 5/16' x 3"
bottom left- 23 5/16" x 3"
five on the right- 13 3/16" x 3"
bottom right- 13 3/16" x 6"

As expected, there's some variation +/- 1/16" but you get the idea and as requested, those are the drawer fronts, not the drawers themselves.

Thanks a lot!
