Not sure if this has been posted before, didn't see anything on a quick search, but anyway here it goes...


Here is some of my RC hobby tools, you can see I used a small cardboard box and some left over craftsman foam to make a nice insert, well not too long afterward, I ran out of room in that box.

I really enjoy the quality of the aluminum handles, and the machined look and feel to them. They have some type of harded drive tips, I think spring steel, but not sure. If you buy the HUDY brand drivers, they are like the Snap-on of RC (big $$$) lol. These are all Dynamite, and Team associated, and one Team Losi, and a few others. I was tempted to buy some for my automotive tool box lol. What do you think?

I keep seeing those mini snap-on tool boxes, do all the drawers open? Do you think it would be perfect for these drivers and small pliers and rc building stuff?

Sweet lathe and mil, where could one get one like those? Im assuming they are mini ones?

the lathe and mill are proxxon, check proxxon usa, and yes they are mini, there german so not cheap, originally intended as watch makers lathes, but used by modellers these days also

I have had it on the mobile base for many years now
it has been moved on a trailer twice that way too

you can get away with it on a mill because its a single commumn type base. a lathe would be more prone to twist or uneven in the floor effecting accuracy

I string and repair lacrosse sticks for myself, my sons and a lot of players I have coached over the years. Here's my kit which has a lot of basic hand tools (scissors, saws, files, etc.) and few special ones that I have made (picks, pocket pounder, etc.). I also built a vice stand and a pocket pounder stand which make the job a lot easier. Each stick can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour and a half depending on the type of string job that you are doing. The kit is either in my garage or in the trunk of my car when we go to games.

The blue quick change handle and metric bits from Ofna have lasted me a long time. But now that I own some Losi stuff, I can never seem to find that set in standard in stock anywhere (hence the Bondhus set above it).

The torch is great for heat shrink on electrical as well as saving my bacon at races - its plenty hot enough to loosen loc-tite to get half stripped screws out in a hurry. The battery powered 1/4" bit driver is great for fast assy.
