I feel like when I am working on a car I always am looking for some wire size/color I don't have. I'd love to see how everyone is organizing their spools of wires. I am just throwing mine in a drawer :(

(search didn't yield much)

I was a little disappointed when I re read the title. I thought it said "show me your wife"

My first response was that is a little personal.

Sorry I'm no help with WIRE

Lowes and Home Depot sell hand held spool racks that hold 12 - 100 ft rolls very nicely. I have a few of them. They cost $20 or so locally.

Yeah I am thinking about maybe mounting something on the inside of the doors on my full size newage cabinets or something. Wanted it out of the way without taking up too much room. Hoping to see some ideas in this thread

This thread got me thinking. I haven't done it yet but I might try it.
Build a box out of 1/2" ply, say 24" X 6" X 6" with a hinged top. On the two ends drill holes to hold 1/2" copper tube, on the latch side of the hinged top drill holes with size labels for wire feed. Sizes are all approx depending on wire spool size.
What say the GJ?

I just keep my wire selection limited.

3 colors, 3 different sizes.

Never had a project that needed more than that.

I dont have a pic for you but my grandpa used to rewire cars. He had a small tool box mabe 16” long and 8” high. On one end he had 12 holes drilled. Inside he had all the small reels hung on wood dowels and could pull what ever lengths he needed and pull as many colors at once. And he could bring it where ever he needed even inside the cab

I built this for all of the "most used" sizes and colors. 18 to 14ga. It hangs above my wiring bench or can go anywhere I need it to if I am doing off-site work.

Some scrap lumber, cardboard and a piece of old tent pole for the axle. Didn't cost me a dime other then the time... :)

Because it's a temporary set up used the following.

flat stock 2 x 36 x 1/8
mount in vise
NAPA bulk wire of various sizes
Mark AMP on package
Attach same using welding clamps.
