NAPA's list prices on tools have always been high. Watch for a sale in their real deals flyer and grab something on sale. I picked up that ratchet last month for lees than $35 on sale.

Yes, the Gearwrench/Crescent versions can be had for much cheaper especially from a place like Cripe Distributing on Ebay. However, the 100 tooth action and quick release offered on the Carlyle version may be worth the difference in price to you. :dunno:

When I click on that link, the price is $46.62.

I don't know why you think the price is $72.

Shows up as $71.49 for my local store, and is listed as "Not In Stock". If I change "My Store" to a different location where the tool is in stock then the price drops to $46.62.

"I" would have a short 'n' direct conversation with the manager of that local store. While I could be wrong, I think your experience is telling you a lot about the management of that store--specifically, they're crooks and you should never buy from them if they want ~50% more than the "normal" price for everything.

Which is tough for me to say, as NAPA is my first stop for any car parts I need "today".

Yup, NAPA changed the price again. Now shows as $49.99.

Nice "sale" price when they're charging MORE than they were just a few hours ago.

I guess that's the First Of The Year price increase.

Hey those are nice. I plan on purchasing 1/4 , 3/8 sockets , extensions, swivels along with ratchets. I'm working at another small engine equipment shop and need to bring my tools in then home after the day. It's sometimes tiresome to do it but I'm sick of having my tools disappear. The Carlyle tools are cheaper then loosing my Snapon. The thing is I really hate to loose any tools expensive or cheap.

I was looking into the Carlyle tool line along with others and I see they don't knurl any part of their extensions. Most brands offer it but Carlyle. The finishing on the tool is excellent but it be nice to have knurling on the extensions so your grip don't slip. Maybe they do but have not seen any in the NAPA store.

Hey check the real deals I think in the top right hand corner is like a buy one get one for the wrench sets so u can get metric and get the free standard set.

Is it me or does the Carlyle 60t ratchet above look just like the Autozone Duralast 36t ratchets. Obviously with more teeth. But man do they look very similar.

Wow wish my local store was stocked like that. Also idk why but my local store claimes that the Carlyle stuff is made by the people that make snap on and that the gear wrench shits as good as the Carlyle that's why they don't stock Carlyle ratcheting wrenches. I laughed my *** and said find me a Carlyle tool that says made In USA lol he tried for a minute as walked away.

I've bought a couple Carlyle ratchets and I have to say that I'm really, really impressed with NAPA's house brand. I know that they're Taiwanese and all but they are great quality!

No lathe cut grooves on the handle; interesting. Wish Snap-on would do that but they're not going to give up on their signature trademark.

My Local Napa does not stock much in Carlyle....Those screw drivers are nice....I like how they have the hex bolster for more leverage. They look like Irwin.....if I did not see the name i would have thought that. I am just say'in.
