Those screwdrivers great buy for current deal price.
More Napa's really need hold stock as it big reason not selling as well as should.
other good taiwan screwdriver sets are toptul and premier drive through, both of those great quality and ideal mechanic or engineer sets .

Damn you, I just bought the bent handle because of you! LOL

My latest haul, looks like lots of repeats on what others here have been recently purchasing.

For comparative reasons the spline drive flex ratcheting wrenches that Carlyle sent me for free last year were in perfect condition when received.

Yea, I have a set of hard handle snap on and I have the complete set of the craftsman professional from when the hometown stores had them on close out.. I didn’t need the Carlyle but I “wanted” them

Those double box ends were what sold me on spline drive.. I was one of those "never gonna own any" guys, until our Napa rep loaned me that set to try out. Now i never go anywhere in the service truck without them. And that screwdriver set..i had a mish mosh of truck brands..took them all to the home box when i got that set..i love them.

Just posted a few more socket ratchets for sale in my classifieds thread. Guys take a look all the way at the bottom. Those are *probably* the last set of ratchets I'm going to find in my shop to sell. I'm pretty near having it all sorted.

Just seen this on the Carlyle Facebook page, I would guess you could use it on Carlyle stuff not currently on sale.

Is that pliers set German? If not from this angle they look like a really good Schmitz impersonation?

Taiwan but that’s the exact reason I bought them they had a German look and feel, if Schmitz are a 10 I’d say these are an 8. Love them so far and for the 40ish$ price tag you can’t beat them

Those of you who have had the Carlyle sockets for a while, how do they compare with old Craftsman? Maybe SK, etc.? I've been eyeballing replacing my Craftsman just because, but. . . ? I have a 1/2" and 1/4" Carylye ratchets and love them, so much better than the Craftsman. Currently using HF impact sockets and they like to hold onto whatever nut they just took off and its infuriating.

I’m still waiting on mines. Order it last sunday the 26 of January hopefully I get it by this weekend (Carlyle 1/2” xl ratchet)

If you are from the IE, just go to Ontario. They have them in stock ready to go. Colton CA has them too. Both are corporate stores and will honor the sale price. Heck I made the drive up from SD to get mine there.

Side note, does anyone know if you can redeem the $5 rewards at non corporate stores? Do they even have a mechanism to look it up? I think I can get one local store to honor the sale flyer but getting the extra $5 might not be possible. Pretty annoying that the little independent Napa stocks more Carlyle than their largest warehouse for 100 miles.

Some do and some do not. I have two Napa's that are close to me and both are non corporate stores. One does the rewards program and follows the national flyer sales and the other does not do either. You have to call to find out. It kinda stinks that there is this lack of continuity but that is how NAPA runs their business.

Just got the email about the Carlyle tool 25% off discount for rewards customers. The promotion ends 3/31/19.

You won’t be disappointed.

With the 25% off right now, you can grab some individuals and try your major sizes out.

I just replaced my spotty craftsman sets with Carlyle and love them!

I woulds say though, the shallow sockets are as short as the craftsman. Ran into a spot that had minimal clearance while putting casters on a HF 26" box that I had to go get the craftsman back out.

Anyone tried or know anything about the Ultra Pro Platinum digital torque wrenches? Are they branded under Carlyle too? Any good?

What started with an eBay splurge turned into an addiction quickly in my home box.

I ordered mine a few weeks ago. Last time I called they said it was “on its way”. I’m beginning to think it’s not coming.

Did you order it for pickup or sent to your home?

I always pickup in store and they have it the next morning. Even if you order in the late afternoon.

I believe I got the go around. As of this Sunday the counter guy that I placed the order with since January said that my order got cancel due to back order I had been calling every weekend to see if it came in. An this is the Ontario distribution hub. So I went in got my money back. Afterward I went to the corona Napa store that showed them in stock and just bought it in there I think from now on I’ll just check which store has stock and go to that one As long as it’s not to far.

And on a side note. If you’re a AAA member you’ll be getting a discount all this month Might as well take advantage of that too

Is the 25" ratchet discontinued or are the supplies just all dried up? I tried to order one today and they said there isn't one in the entire state so there is nothing they can do.

Anyone have any experience with these pliers? IMG_2592.jpgIMG_2588.jpg

I remember in the show me your new tools thread someone had those long pliers. I also had my eye on them but I’m not looking to spend any money. I think I asked him how they were and he liked them and how stiff the handles were since long pliers with soft handles are virtually useless as you can’t get enough grip on them.

I don’t know about them, but I have their slip joint pliers which has a diamond knurl on them and they are perfect. They hold onto anything. I think they are design copy’s of a Mac or Matco, I don’t remember.

Just my two cents. That set is pricey though. Not sure if it’s on sale. But I guess with the 25% off coupon running around this month it could be worth it. I’d buy Them in store and not online though, or have a store ship them if you did. And make sure they accept the coupon before ordering. Napa Carlyle are real nice tools, but Napa customer service can be crumby, especially with honoring sales found online. Sometimes, you’d swear these places don’t have the internet or know what their company is pumping out.
