We have threads on showing off tool boxes and work benches and a couple of cool desks on steel desks but we need a dedicate desk thread. I'm sure there are some great idea I haven't though of yet that I need to steal, I'm borrow.

Two years ago I moved to Hawaii. I sold off the machine shop and now do 90% of my work at my desk. In addition to normal office type work, I do a lot of electronics, RC cars, drones, guns, computer programming, and Pod casting at my desk. I'm able to turn out a uprising number of parts with my Chinese mill/laser and two 3d printers.

The desk is 3x8 3/4 in MDF and the entire surface is painted in white board paint.

I have a Tevo Nerus printer, a Monoprice mini IIIP, and a generic Chinese gantry mill with 7500mW laser.

For electronics I have a 0-120v and 0-48v power supply, Hantek DSO5102 Oscope hacked to 400MhZ and Hako 936 soldering iron

Here's a quick picture of me at my desk. I just can't bring myself to upgrade because it seems like computer companies come out with a new computer model every single year and I feel like I'll get shafted as soon as I pony up on a new rig.

No one responded to this thread. I forgot to come back and check. That lamp is awesome. I also like the pen holder. I sense a theme.

Desk is a Weis from 1910 or so. A local find. I would like to find the matching file cabinet for a reasonable price. They list for a lot, usually. Chair is from the same era, but don't know who made it. Green lamp is Fostoria.

Fun fact, I made the wastepaper basket and my wife painted the portrait. I also made the hanging light fixture.
