Had all the jacks one area (cleaning the shed) so I took a pic.

1,3 and 9 ton trollys, 20 ton air/hydraulic and 1/2 ton trans jack.
They don`t look much but they all have new seals and oil. (perk of the job)

Just got these Joyce 1½x8 screw jacks off CL. I've been putting off a sunroom lifting project for 3+ years. No excuses now.

If you really need the power and will use it enough daily then it's worth it. Value is up to you. I have that same one, looks much better than that one and sits in the corner with dust on it. Probably should sell it to someone who will get better use out it.

Is there an online resource that give the values of Jack's both in current ditions and restored conditions?

I am debating buying a vintage Blackhawk jack but need a reference as to whether the asking prices right now is acceptable or not. See below for image link.

Thanks!

I don't know of any on-line resource for pricing info on old Blackhawk jacks. Try to pick it up for $50.00 dollars or less. Make sure all of the hard components are intact and serviceable. Good Luck!

I'm currently on my phone but something doesn't look right at the rear, on the pump piston assembly. It looks like the linkage is out of whack. What does it look like on a big screen?

Yeah could be, as you know some of those old Blackhawks carry that deep offset pump piston, but that one looks odd.

I originally had a Craftsman 3.5 ton 'Professional Series' floor jack. It was great, served me well, but I had trouble jacking up my lowered car with it. The minimum jacking height was 5-3/4". I was using a smaller sized jack to raise the car ~ 2", then I would jack it the rest of the way with the Craftsman jack. Sure, I could have driven up on 2x10's or something.....but that's no fun.

So I sold this.....

It's the Napa NLE 791-6402 2 ton low profile floor jack. It has a minimum height of 2-3/4" so no more using two jacks to jack the car up. My only gripe about it is that it's not equipped with a bleed valve to allow 'one speed' lowering. This jack has the traditional turn a little = slow, turn a lot = fast. I like how some newer jacks have a steady/slow speed no matter how much you turn. But it is, what it is.

This is the car that uses the floor jack the most. It doesn't look low, but the subframe connectors are 3-3/4" off the ground.

Is this a very early Walker? I've not seen any with this rear wheel setup but it sure looks like one but I'm new here. I did see an old walker flyer with two different rear wheel choices. One had swivel casters the other with straight axle wheels just like the front. About what yr & model is this floor jack? Anyone know or does everyone know but me? lol
I tried to post just its picture but I could'nt get it copied. Thanks!

I answered your original post from this morning, its not a walker.. appears to be a Norco, definitely Not walker or any US brand that I recognize. It's got a fancy paint job though...

Thanks Hiball,
The pump piston sticking out the rear and it looking to be an old style jack made me think it might be lincoln/walker. Glad it wasnt in a rummage sale near me I may of screwed myself a little. Although the rear wheels do make it appear cheap.
I guess this piston design has been coppied alot longer than I thought? It may have an origin marking somewere that would of saved me???
Thanks

Here are mine. Just rebuilt the Snap on and replaced the ucup on the CM 4ton. The arcan was bought to replace the CM. I went from having 1 jack, no working jack, to 1 working, one broken jack to 3 working jacks.

Check out what I found on CL...

A nearly exact duplicate Walker floor jack to the one I have.

The one in the back I got from a family friend who was a mechanic for years (model 782).

The one in front (reddish color) I got from a young man near here... it was originally used in a local Ford garage (model 882). Its been painted several times over the years but under the cover you can still see the original blue color.

I just started to take the 882 apart (need to do some tig welding to the lower tube portion of the jack handle) then off to have the rest hot tanked and cleaned up... of course the pump will be removed by then.

Hiball sent me a kit for my 782 but its the same kit for the 882 so I thought I'd work on the one that doesn't work at all first... then the 782.

ANY idea what the piece is I'm holding in my fingers? It came falling out when I disassembled the jack handle portion.... it looks similar to an empty 9mm casing with a hollow ball projectile. Its completely hollow and made of tin with a slit up the side. Help!

My Duff-Barrett jack.

What little information I can find about it indicates that it is a "railroad jack" or "house jack."

I pulled it out of the backyard of an abandoned house.

It works, but needs a good cleaning/painting. I also need to find a length of square stock to operate the mechanism with some leverage.

My jack will be celebrating it's 37th birthday this year. I made sure that there was no mistaking that it was mine by putting my name on it:cool:

Norco 71250W floor jack

Hi, Just acquired a Norco 71250W from craigslist. The seller told me that his father owned this jack and it is over 30 years old and was made in USA. I could not find much information about it. Anybody knows about it?

I might have to some repair. Is it worth fixing?

Thanks.

My Chinese Mac Tools 3 1/2 ton jack.

The Good
+$25!
+$Not too much wear
+Side panels still run straight and true
+No leaks

The Bad
-Quite heavy, nearly pulled my back trying to get it out of the car

Turns out it's a rebranded Shinn-Fu unit.

Well...ok, I don't want to thread crash, but I have some jackstands.

Were these used as jacks ever? Or would they just be used as stands?

you really could use them as either. they are called screwjacks. but ive never seen anyone use them as jacks. most of the time just stands. but the hole in there is meant to throw a bar in and turn the jack and or down

^ Yeah, I experimented with using them as jacks...they are faster to use than expected, but not especially safe for car use IMO (needs a swivel top head).

I'm not sure what to do with them. I know there is something clever they could be used for, but I haven't thought of it yet.
