I think this is a Weaver, sure would like to find the brass ID tag. 38" wheelbase, OL approx 5-1/2 ft. Cannot find this in my Weaver literature. Thanks for this forum.

I bought my Hein-Werner Model M 2 ton long frame (year unknown) in approx 1964, it was in need of rebuild, I had ABC Specialty in Ft Wayne do the work. (Wonder if they have survived).

At any rate it has served me well until I abused it this summer by jacking on the edge of a trailer spring and when the load adjusted and shifted, the load impacted the lift plate, breaking the lift arm. Not a pretty sight, not a very good design; I am sure others have had the same failure, wonder if there is a good fix?

... now if I could only get a couple of them to stop leaking when open.

dep,

That's a nice looking line-up of long frames... Unfortunately for your M model, it looks like you might need to be on the look out for a parts jack with a donor lifting arm assy.

Hiball might have an extra is his pile of parts, try sending him a PM.

Just grabbed this nice old Blackhawk S13 today.. I've been needing a second jack--and thought one of these old cast Blackhawk jacks would be great to use with all the old stuff I work on.
This one works--only issue being the holes for all the hinge pins are little worn. Some bigger pins or possibly some bronze bushings may be due. Also, the handle was brazed onto the pivot bracket at one time--dunno why. Does anyone have the ability to take a photo of the inside of their jack handle near the bottom?? The jack works well-PO said it leaks a little once under a load.
Jack has and will continue to see regular service.

I just bought this jack today ...... I think is Taiwan made but TUV approve.

Liftmaster TT6920 aluminium low profile floor jack.

...

I often forget about TUV when it comes to tools. When researching wheels and such I often try to find something with a reputable brand or TUV approved. Now if only that jack was available in the US, I think would be excellent for the weekend warrior.

Something different in the jack department, a Hi Lift jack set up for manual winching tasks. I fabbed the lower tensioning bracket which allows continuous winching instead of winching a full cycle and having to reset/disconnect. The chains when leap frogging the connection points retains tension on the item you're winching. Grade 70 or equivalent chains & hardware. On top is a JackMate....... I set this up for the times I can't get up my driveway in the winter.....

Napa 2 1/4 ton (red) and a companion 3 ton (silver). The companion is my go to jack because of the smaller pad on it. I also have a bunch of bottle and scissor jacks as well.

That is a Wiper that sits in a groove at the top end of the Pump Piston, Its job is to prevent **** from entering the Pump Cylinder galley. The Leakage problem is because the Oring below the wiper is bad. You will need to pull the Pump piston to gain access to the Orings.

Here's my Montgomery Wards. I have no idea who the OEM is - I inherited it and it makes my 4-ton Craftsman pro jack look like a Chinese toy. Color looks like Walker blue...

OEM is Ausco, Looks like a D-7600.

Thanks, I figured you would know. My grandfather had it rebuilt 8 or 10 years ago, and it works great. But that info could be handy in the future.

Funny that it's only rated at 2 tons when my 4 ton craftsman is lighter, smaller and harder to pump.

I do have one question - I'll try to get a picture but there is a latch or something behind and under where the handle attaches to the frame of the jack. It doesn't appear to do anything, but I think it's supposed to keep the handle from falling back. Do you know what I'm talking about?

Here's a 10 ton Lincoln, I just brought home. Pumps up, but leaks down. Needs a rebuild kit, but not bad for $73 at auction.

My walker 882, no the colors aren't original. But this thing is gonna get scuffed and scratched anyway. So I used paint I could easily match. Three bucks a can, instant match.
