I've had this lift for quite a while and had hurt my back when picking it up...How ironic. It's suppose to save my back and i pull a dummy and hurt myself lol I finally got it in place and built the ramps so it could be used. It's been months...It's nice to finally be healthy and have it working.

The first pic I was testing out the ramps for location and the second the boards are all fastened in place and it's bolted to the floor.

The height in the pic below is ideal for interior or under the hood work. I'm 6' 5"

single post Stratus lift installed. Has a bit of tilt to it when loaded
Interesting lift. What is the weight limit in that. It would be cool to have one in my house garage for my wife’s daily when I need to service it.

6600 lbs. Bolted to the floor. Its a clone of the ACL lift that costs twice as much

I bought my Forward I10 shortly after the shop went up. I've mostly done oil changes and tire rotations but the Comanche spent some time in the air getting new bearings and an oil pump. It's great not laying on the ground anymore having oil blow all over you while draining it.Red.jpg

Because of zoning issues with this build we could only do 10' plates to keep the ridge beam height to 16' 6" which was all we could go. So we were a little short on space for the east post on the east side bay. We are considering adding eith a 4 poster or another 2 post on the west side of shop. We are getting close to finishing my son's shop finally. The New Age cabinets ordered 6 months ago are finally being delivered on Monday!

What mat do you have under the jeep? Oil absorbing?

I’ve had mine for 9 years. Triumph 7000 from National Tool. If not for this tool, would have had to quit messing with hot rods. I usually raise vehicles about 4’ and work in an office chair. Works for me.

I think this is the one, not sure it's been a while. It doesn't absorb fluids and cleans up easy. I have spilled gas on it and other than a faint discoloration you really can't tell. My stool and oil catcher roll across it really easy as well. Price on it has gone up some since I bought it.

I am so psyched to be able to share in this thread. On Monday —- I took possession of a “backyard buddy 7k classic” —- made in Ohio using mostly local materials. It is a little bit overkill for what I am looking to do, but the best part is that the lift doesn’t have to be bolted to the floor; and will allow me to do work on our fleet of cars that will not require me laying on my back to complete.

I did shop around a bit (challenger, atlas, bendpak, etc) - but this set up seemed to be the best value and it came with a little rolling jack platform, as well as some drip trays so that what’s below will not be coated in ....
Still happy with purchase? Looking at this brand or a Bendpak 4 Post lift for my two sports cars to store in the garage. I see Backyard Buddy is out of Hanover, PA, not to far from me in NJ. @Robey5

Like the above post, easy to set up a lift as the “Buffet Table” where everyone can fill their plate with as much as they want...

Should mention too, we clean the cables with lacquer thinner so that if anyone should happen to bump into or touch them, nothing comes off the cables onto hands or clothing.

Yes. The lift is really nice, and while there are a few items that I would like to change slightly on the lift, I think that this is a good value (even though it is a bit more expensive than the competitive options).
