Finally tested at the new shop with a generator. I've had this bend pak for about 10 years now. A bit shorter than usual at 11' 6" to the top of the posts. (needed this to clear the ceiling in my last garage).

Does this count?

A used Vestil Hydraulic Elevating Cart (800-Lb. Capacity, 20in. x 30 1/2in. Platform, Model# CART-800-D-TS). Found it on CL. The seller delivered it to me!

This will make dropping engines from the bottom tons easier.

Goes well with my Backyard Buddy (which I posted on this thread ages ago).

How old is your lift? How has it been/held up?

I just got the same lift a couple months ago. I like it so far, can't beat the value!

A bit hard to see both lifts in this picture, in the foreground is a Bendpak HD-9 XTW, and the distance (with my Yellow Sonett in the air) is a Bendpak XPR-9

The 4 post is doing double duty holding my turbo 92 Miata and my 125cc shifter kart.

Great to hear! I went with the super symmetric as well, great to have the option to load the vehicle whatever way works best.

The picture you show of the lift with the motorcycle by it, which is the new shop I am assuming, how far from the wall are you with your lift and how far from the opening of the garage door (the aisle way basically) is the lift?

Reason I ask is I am looking for a similar lift placement in my shop but wasn't sure if I would have enough turning room to get from the "aisleway) into the lift with doing a 3 point saga.

Here's my 10k Rotary. I have had it for a couple months but did not get power until last week. I think I'm going to like it.

G'day everyone. Here are a couple of my 4500kg 2 post Lift King. I use it a lot for just about any job to make it easier.
2 arms under the 72" Toro mower and up you go and can dress the blades while sitting on a stool, well that's the easiest one.

The smallest was to change the drive belt on a 24" ride on mower for my neighbour.
IMG_0442.jpg IMG_0443.jpg IMG_3889.jpg
The biggest savers were changing the bed and removing the gearbox from my dually.
Then checking the electric brakes on my mates triaxle tilt is so easy.

All these nice neat garages and lifts are amazing. Nice to find this group posting pictures. I'm jealous of how clean and organized everyones garage is.

I just snapped a picture of my Rotary 9000 lift while changing out the snow tires.

Here are a few pics of my new Atlas 14K.

It would be nice to have a little bit more ceiling height, but I can lift my pickup high enough that I don't hit my head, so I guess that's good enough.

Turns out my slab wasn't thick enough for the install. My floor currently has 2 of these in it right now, to be filled with concrete tomorrow.

4 FN 27,

Very nice garage. Do you have a build thread? What model of Rotary lift is that, SPOA10? Are you happy with an asymmetrical for lifting you truck?

How tall is your garage? I'm hoping to be able to do a lift at some point and am trying to see what I could fit. I'm thinking my ceilings are about 15ft

To the bottom of the joist is 11.5', and I have around 15' when I lift the vehicle between the joist. It is plenty of room to work under the vehicle. It will depend on your vehicles on how much room you will have if you plan to use above & below for vehicle storage.

Mainly I'd just like to be able to do my maintenence and projects off my back. I've built a car on jackstands and don't plan on ever doing that again.

That retro footing looks good with your epoxied tie-ins, undercut and rebar. Was this a spec from the manufacturer?

If you were thinking of doing any drain work, conduit etc...do it now! I made this mistake and regretted it later.

Thanks! It was sort-of to spec. Tha directions that came with my Atlas lift are horrible...no recommendation for pouring the slabs. I looked up the Mohawk lift directions and followed their recommendations for the most part, but I went above and beyond those. I have a close friend who is a structural engineer as well and got his input as well.

I think the anchors for the bolts on the lift will fail long before the concrete will now (I hope)

Got this one from Lifts Plus Depot in Richmond. About 3000 bucks installed plus 200 bucks for some really tall jackstands.

It comes with a jacking tray that slides front to back. The rearend is on jackstands, but I stuck the tires under there in case something dumb happened. I'm good at doing something dumb.

Sorry I am seeing this so late.

Yes it is a SPOA10. I like it more so for the cars rather than the truck. Basically I'll change oil and rotate tires on the Dually on this lift. No heavy line stuff.

For the cars I really like it. Allows for easy in and out. For the cars I own it only makes sense. Vettes and low riding Camaros are hard enough to get in and out but trying to do it with the doors half closed is even harder. Might put a Symmetrical hoist in someday in the future.

I really don't have a build thread. Found out about this site after my project was finished...well at least the building was ready. I am still moving stuff from my old shop today.

Here is the closest thing I have to a build thread:

CLETUS66, those jack stands are really handy. I put one each end of my CC dually when we were changing out the gearbox, did not take anything out of the bed. No swinging on bolts or heavy pushing made any movement what so ever. I LOVE THEM. even when you are doing exhaust repairs etc., they are a extra pair of hands too.

4 FN 27, thanks for the information. I can see a SPOA10 being good for cars like the Camaro with the wide doors (nice collection of cars by the way). If you don't mind me asking what do you not like about lifting your Dually on the asymmetrical, do you find you get a lot of flex in the rear arms or does the truck just not feel balanced with so much on the back end.
