If you were a woman, considering your (close) location. I would probably attempt to seduce you for your tools. Just saying, no homo

On the subject though, how do you like that Knipex auto stripper? The pistol grip one? I saw it the other day for 25 euro and it looked like a sweet device, but I'm always somewhat hesitant about auto strippers.

no interest thanks :D

it´s very nice to work with auto strippers... no adjusting to the insulation thickness necessary, no fumbling around with sidecutters...very little recoil compared to other auto strippers.....reasonable price.... always perfect results...if you do a lot of wiring i would buy one......simple and effective tool...i don´t want to live without one anymore....there is a cheaper version available from Jokari:

Gotta say, even from another dude..that kinda stings...

But in all seriousness, good to hear that it works well. I don't do a lot of wiring, but I like to collect tools that make things simpler. Though I'll stick with the knipex because of warranty+availability in The Netherlands.

Thanks again, Monte!

My Plomb and Proto pliers, which I use regularly. Just don't make 'em like this anymore.

What brand are the hose pinch pliers?

The blue ones are from Hazet and available under several different names (Made in Australia) the metal ones are branded "Arpes" and "USAG" and are both made in Spain by Grip-On

This thread inspired me to take inventory of my pliers and do a little research. Not sure it could be called a collection, more an assemblage. Here is good portion of them together, some of which I grew up using and abusing as a kid and date back to my grandfather pre-WW2. And are still used today.

*** Boker, Camron, Kraeuter, Cemco, Channel Lock, Williams, Plomb, Proto,
Vice Grip, WT Grant, Diamond, Snap On, Utica, Vacuum Grip,
***
and a few others

Working man's pliers drawer.

Ill be honest, I never use the cable cutters. I just used them once.

Its mostly klein, channel lock... only a couple chinese tools there. the big vice grips.. hard to find NOS stuff sometimes.. the ratcheting crimpers. I'd put those knipex^^^^ to work... then I wouldnt have to touch chinese plastic LOL!

I had this piece of angle drilled out for me at work and mounted it to my bench so I can have my small pliers within reach, instead of having them in a coffee can.
