Those Gripso's are different. Any coo marked on them? They sound Italian.
There was also a vise grip thread recently.

I was helping my brother clean his garage and came across some unique pliers. Enjoy:

1st up is some Klein Duck Bills

Here's another set with smaller bills

And last but not least these pterodactyl pliers from France and man do they have a nasty bite!

OK, thanks for the info Hootbro. Are they for opening and closing the contacts during set up or testing?

I suppose now someone's going to chime in and tell me those 45' nippers aren't called pterodactyl pliers either.

Quite frankly I do not know how they are exactly used, just know that is what they are called. Unlike traditional duckbills that have a thicker end towards the taper and serrated teeth, these thin and smooth jaw pliers would **** and probably bend if used on hose clamps and cotter keys that I use my traditional duckbills on.

I have set also of these relay spring pliers also, but I have yet had a need where I thought they could be used.

For spreading lock rings - the kind without the holes at the ends.

Looks nice ! Another idiot company. All I can find is reviews.
The Monster brand is available exclusively through the mobile tool distribution channel"

Great. More nitwits.

Plier drawers at work from a few months ago, I have since moved them into my HF 44"

They include a few blue handled CL pliers, the large linesmen is a Klein, the other is an older Stanly, The 8" slip joint are New Britain which I snagged off ebay. There is also a couple of krauters I inherited from my Dad along with some Vise Grips, and some "Sears" locking pliers that won't die

2oolHound . . . . cool pliers !!!

Like the pterodactyl pliers from France . . . . if only those were bigger !!

I can see using those for whole host of things since the grip is at an angle. I don't like the normal snip-type pliers as you have to be directly over the nail. Another good tool is the cat's paw pry bar when the snips won't work.

This is my main box. The red handled set is Mac, also some Channellocks, older USA Craftsman, Vise Grips, and miscellaneous brands. I try not to have too many duplicates, I think it wastes space. I keep other specialty snips and pipe wrenches, etc, in a few other boxes. Next on the wish list is a set of Mac kiwis and a full set of snap ring pliers.

Instead of all my pliers, I will show my absolute favorite pliers.
These knipex pliers next to my astro nano are BEASTLY
I've been doing things with these pliers that I shouldn't be able to do. Never have I loved channel lock style pliers as much as I do these.

Here's most of mine. I sure like those pics some you have with the long rows of a single brand, mine don't look that pretty but get the job done. 2fc96f3a81c6fe6e33405976a6811f40.jpg

Doing an inventory on my tools in preparation for a major downsizing. I thought I would put up pictures of the majority of my pliers since my old pictures were killed by Photobucket. Quite a few pictures so it may take multiple posts.
