Man I've been looking for pics for shops with the setup to get some ideas but it's hit or miss. We need a sticky with pics of the setup! Post'em up.

I have roughly one-quarter of a 30x40 metal building to do my stuff, sharing the rest with Billy (who builds motors and works on flip cars/motorcycles). I've been at this for over 15 years -- the first 8 as a hobbyist working mainly on my own hot rod's stuff -- and opened PSC on May 31, 2006. The layout and my tools / equipment have changed a lot during that time as the press of business demanded.

I am not open to the public and local customers (about 1% of my business) are requested to make an appointment. I used to have signs but apparently the well-posted hours of operation were completely invisible judging by the number of locals who'd pound on my door at 7:00 on Saturday mornings or stop by unannounced after church on Sundays. (Billy's part also tends to be too embarrassing and/or dangerous to actually let people see or walk through it.)

Per your request here's a few recent pictures ...

My work bench is rather small, 6 feet long and 4 feet wide, but the overhead and lower storage are very handy. It used to only fill up during the winter LOL (this one was taken in Feb 2012) ... but these days, as evidenced by the new 8-foot shelf unit along the back wall, I've usually got about 25 jobs in line at any given time now.

Here's my old security door spray rack, suspended from a HF ceiling hoist. It allows me fabulous 360 degree access (as long as Billy's latest project isn't in the freakin' way lol) and can be used to hang parts on from wires or hooks, or lowered to allow me to use it as a table for my custom valve covers, intakes and other parts requiring jigs.

I don't have any recent full pictures of my big oven but this is when I was building it a little over 5 years ago.

It's 7 feet tall, 4 feet wide and 3 feet deep; it and my 5-foot SkatBlast cabinet were the two biggest investments I've ever made but I've never once regretted either one.

Hit me up if you'd like to see close ups of anything in particular. I'm out of uploads on this post but can always write another one. :D

Do you use 3 phase or 220?

It's 220, which my ovens share with Billy when he needs to weld something. The electric system around here leaves much to be desired with lots of interruptions and surges, and I've heard that the triple phase is even worse.
