Here's most of mine. I have maybe a dozen more spread between my truck and the rest of the house.

My screwdrivers are in the other thread.
These are my nut drivers... on the right, painted, wooden handled CKs in imperial sizes.
On the left, no-name metric I shouldn't have bought. They're cheap rubbish. I'm replacing them with something of quality, but one at a time as I find them in car boot sales. I have four or five now, but they weren't around (apart from the plain wood in the middle) when I took this pic.

Merk, you actually have some Cman?! I'm surprised you didn't PS those out. J/K

I do have a question, I have noticed in a couple of pictures from members a driver bit storage where did you guys get those? I made one out of some wood & painted it...but the one pictures would work a lot better.

Thanks:thumbup:

I'll bet he uses them same as I do; to send 'em in as cannon fodder on dirty or corrosive work.

...well, everyone's gotta start somewhere. I'd recommend the purchase of a slotted driver next time around; you're getting a little heavy on the Phillips stuff.

Damn skippy. Personally, I think for starting out, the $30 or whatever it is 24ish piece craftsman screwdriver set is a good deal. They aren't high end, but I used them for 5 years as a mechanic, so they do work.

Amen to that, the ol red, blue, clear and stinkies did all my work for many years before I finally got a few Snappys and others. I second that!

Here is my modest collection. What is left of my Snap-Ons, a PROTO stubby, an old Craftsman, some dinky Craftsman Pros, a couple US made Husky's, and an old anonymous wooden handle stubby. The nut drivers are Husky and I assume taiwanese, they don't say on the handles.

I know a lot of people aren't fans of these ratcheting types but I use the he// out this old Matco. Oringinally I had a longer one with the old maroon handle but I dropped it on concrete in the winter and the handle shattered. This was the closest thing to it on the truck when I warranteed it.

Skeletonizer,

The red wood handled stubby looks like the drivers that came in Porche 356 tool kits.

Does it say made in Germany?

If so, could be Hazet, and worth a boat-load of $$$ to a vintage Porsche owner.

No markings at all. The weld at the tang is nasty so I am guessing 'ole Ferdinand would not have put it in one of his cars.

I seem to remember either my Dad or Grandfather having several of these in different sizes. Both of their collections were Craftsman and SK heavy with a little PROTO and Snap On. They both worked for Chrysler. Probly my Grandad as my Dad had a boatload of the red and blue Craftys.

Got wood? How about some vintage MACs. I think I got these in the '70's as a gift from my dad. I have other brands (about two drawers full) but these are my favorites. You can really grip them. There are more of them spread out in the shop in various places. These were used and abused in my youth. I take much better care of my tools now.

eh, dont get too excited..its from a test light so it has a 3/8" hole running down it iirc..

not really sure what, if anything, I can use it for.. (dont use testlights).

might just make another grommet poker with it.

I'm VERY happy with them so far, and it was a small upgrade from my previous collection.

VERY nice looking, Sean, but I notice they're low down in a deep drawer that wastes space. I think you need to buy another box to get them up higher in a shallow drawer :)

That is high on the list of things to get. I was not happy about putting them down there, but it was kind of the only place I could.

There are a few really cool old screwdrivers in there! I suspect that old Truth is quite old, and the Millers Falls is likely not far behind!

Thanks . I think you're right.
Truth is still in business but makes hardware. There isn't much about the tools they made on their website.
