I wish I found this store north of Ikebukero before I left, they have a cool blog that's updated often. Down a couple of post's they have a 1/2 double jointed universal impact from Koken... Any other company offer something like that?

http://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/494847/blog/

Just a heads-up if you plan to go back again :) ... I believe the store you visited has now moved to a new location, not far away though.

Yeah, WIT is great. I used to follow their blogs as well...too busy to browse these days though.

Here's a few pics (not mine) to compare the Ko-ken with a Koto. I don't know of any other brands offering a similar product.

Nice assortment there, Pelley! Yeah I have master craft robertsons as well (much older version)and am waiting for the snappy ones to come out. With any luck it won't be much longer. Is there a snappy guy anywhere on the island? When I left home there was only one in st johns that I knew of but I heard he closed up shop a few years back.

Thank you Kindly - All Ebay purchases. No Snap-on Dealer left in Newfoundland - Last one was In Grandfalls-Windsor where i live but he gave it up 4 years ago. I had to buy my tool box / Most of my Snap-on off a dealer in Ontario ( Ron McLaughlin ) - Thankfully he has supported my needs over the years. Snappy is missing out on a Big market here with no dealer.

Are you origionally from the island? - Still in canada now?

Go Canada! I love Picquic. I've got one Sixpac, one Super 8 Plus, and one Stubby. They're my go to multi-bit screwdrivers if I don't have easy access to my individual screwdrivers. I really like the fluted handles. They fit my hand beautifully, and allow lots of torque without hurting my hand. Invented and made in Canada. Still. Yay!

Still working on how I want to organize my drivers since I added a top box.

Flat tip & ratcheting drivers:

Phillips, torx, & picks:

Prybars, scrapers, picks, & hex drivers.

And for some reason I am forced to buy every vintage wooden driver I come across... sickness.

I got my first picquic last week, i liked it so much that i ordered one for the truck, one for my tool bags, one for my construction bags, mini and tiny turner for the tool box. I found a website

Where you can order the bit configuration that you want. And they have all the replacement bits in every size.

After thirty years of smelling the awful cellulose acetate butyrate handles of my Craftsman drivers, I finally did some updating:

US-made Wilde

and German-made felo

Look at the new packaging. Global components, i think the bits, anyway, i dig on my picquic, going to order a few other sizes.

I just checked, and yes you're right. The Picquic bits are made in Taiwain, the handle in Canada. If I have to choose though, I much prefer supporting Taiwan instead of China.

The bits are made to be used as power driver bits in addition to the Picquic handle. One gent told me he bought a spare Picquic strictly as a storage handle to hold the bits for his cordless drill-driver. He has one for hand driving, and one he keeps in the drill-driver case. Inventive idea I thought.

Wanting a new set of heavy duty beater screwdriver, I took advantage of the Vessel sale and got a set of the power grip screwdrivers for not much more than the Weras. These seemed to be seriously heavy duty (the thick portion of the shank goes all the way to the end cap), and have the red translucent handle which I like.

Also got two Felo awls which match the Vessels.

Strange thing is that the older Snap-On square handled screwdrivers are more comfortable in my hand. I look forward to taking a hammer to these Vessel beauties.

I went up to the CAT dealer to get a 1/2" wrench that was missing from a set I am selling and saw these Snap-On/Williams made screwdrivers... resistance is futile.
