some of those screwdrivers especially the snap on ones look brand new and never bin used. If not then you guys sure take good care of them. Ive had snap on instinct screwdrivers for 3 months and the handles are all ready shredded/gouged in each corner.

Nothing special, I do a lot or home repair along with mechanic work, so i have an aray of different brands.......I was going to go with the craftsman pro's complete set but decided for the money and handles i liked the dewalts, plus if i break one i can exchange it at the HD 2 miles from my house.

I like the stubby centerpiece. Lol

It really seems as if it's held in a high regard amongst the other tools, despite it's small stature.
I could make up a whole story based off of that one picture.

supra - I'm assuming your talking about my MAC stubby, ive had that thing for awhile. still wrapped up, just cant bring myself to opening it up, think i might sell it just so someone can use it, i hate having tools that just sit there and look good.

-what kind of story are you thinking???

Within the confines of the screwdriver drawer of shocksandstrutz, there is a pecking order. The MAC Stubby reigns over the others, despite it's small stature.

It appears as if the other, newer, screwdrivers look to the older MAC for inspiration.
Even though it was never effectively put into service, they admire that it's kept up appearances and they look more towards it's professional heritage to pull wisdom from. The way the tips are all pointing towards it are like it's telling a story of "The Ol' Days", when "Things Were Made in the USA", and how "his cousins went to battle with the wretched, corrosion-laden bolts" in "Our Country, America's, Rust Belt."

None of the other drivers have their own throne, as does the MAC.
But there is no dissention in the ranks, because it's completely based off of a mutual respect for "The Old Guy".

Thanks! It's funny you guys ask because I was about to do a small write-up in the next few days on how to do such a project.

I'm liking the looks of the ergs on those Felos -- look like some quality drivers, although the handles on the stubbies seem a little long for that purpose. Neat stuff Apexhead.

I won't post a pic of mine, because everyone already knows what they look like hahaha. I have some new Craftsman from the 540 pc Cman mechanics set (not pro handles, just the regular ones). And I have some really old battle tested Craftsmans I inherited that I still reach for because I like them. Then I have some new blackhandled Williams drivers and I bought a set of Wiha Torx drivers. They are nice.

Nothing real fancy...I've just been picking up these old Ace screwdrivers one at a time at various estate sales. I think they were made by Stanley. I like the old logo. All Made in USA.

Happen to find this cute little Dunlap Midget in a box of stuff from an estate sale a couple of years ago and just now wondering how old it might be and the quality? It's a ratcheting type that is about 4" long total length. Based on some other Dunlap tools that I've had, it should be pretty good and the tip is remarkably crisp and clean.

Any idea of age and quality?

Yes, they're machined out of HDPE. I really liked the tool shadowing idea for drawers but wanted something that could easily be cleaned, was highly durable, and could outlast the tools it holds. After my son and I made some hand tap trays out of a cutting board, I decided to make organizers the same way. Buying a couple feet of HDPE off of eBay (material called StarBoard) makes it fairly affordable if you already have a mill. They could be done with a router too I think but I've not tried yet. HDPE machines beautifully and is easy on tooling.
