Im about to build a swingset / fort for my daughter. With the skillset on this board, some of you guys most likely build some badda$$ playground equipment. Show it off, and give me some ideas.

Mine is very simple. I bought some schedule 40 pipe and used a Harbor Freight fish mouth cutter for the ends. I got the seats on Ebay.

That's a little piece of decoration I'd gotten when I got the finials for the fence.

I'll snap a picture of the one I put together this weekend.

But for advice:
If you add a slide either do one of the covered tubes, or make sure the slide is in the shade or oriented to the north.
Our slide is on the south side and it gets pretty hot in full sunshine,

How long is the span? What spacing did you use between buckets? I was planning on 20" between buckets and at least 18" from the A frame.

I built a treehouse/swing set for my daughter. Wife didn't want just a "square" so she got an octagon. Total cost was about $550

I never got around to building one at our last house, and our new house has a park 4 doors down.. so I wont be building one...
But, I was going to go big with a simple a frame design.. 6x6's etc, so that I could swing on it as well... it doesn't just have to be for the kids ya know...

The top horizontal is ~9' long. The spacing between swings is 20", and the spacing for the swing seat itself is 16". Then I've got 20" of space on one side, and 30" on the other.
