Here is a video of that bear I took. Notice my barking like a dog at the end scaring it away before it destroys another of my wife's brid houses. Day one I scared it away. Next day it came back and went through all my trash cans, it was too hungry and I was unable to scare it, and it growled at me. I since no longer bark at bears. hehehe

No pics, but one morning my wife was screaming there was an emu down at the lower part of our property! She's kinda dramatic. Damn sure was an emu just walking around, finally entered in to the cedars and was gone?:headscrat No emu farms close to us.must have been on the lamb for awhile.

That sloth looks like something out of Alien. If I happened upon that I think I would run like a scared child while soiling my shorts.

I've seen snakes, *****, possums, armadillos, deer, fox, coyote, turkey, bobcat, panther, wild hogs, by my shop, barn, and in my field. Use to have plenty of our own "pets". Horses, goats, chickens, turkeys, pigs. Down to a pet snake, parrot, fish, cats, and dog now.

If I were you, I would be looking into having a bear skin rug in the living room by winter time....:rocketwho

:)

I figure I am treading on its territory as much as it is on mine. I am OK with sharing. Until it decides to try and share on something in my home, then the 30ot6 comes out. hehehe

The wife and I are animal lovers so as we humans slowly take away (or quickly take away) the animals land, we feel sorry for them. They have less places to call home. So, eat my trash as they need. Just will need to keep a keen eye open in case they ever get too friendly.

No pics, but I was welding on the car trailer in my driveway, and at one point when I got done and shut the welder off, I heard rustling. I turned around fast, and there were two ducks hanging out in my flowers about 6' from me, watching me weld. I got up, they didn't move, so I went into the house and got them some bread. They ate it, and stayed there the entire day, taking occasional trips to my pond to splash around, and then come back.

It was a little weird having a fan club for the day.:spit:

We have lots of visitors come around for a treat or drink of water. The deer spend time under the cabin or in my open shed when its warm. The photo only shows one of this years little guys as the other two are camera shy. As we are on a small island, there isn't much to bother them and around my place they are welcome to visit.

This little guy flew up into the peak of my shop/hangar today while I had the place wide open. He spend several hours flying back and forth between the top two purlins. They seem attracted to the light/brightness of the insulation and don't seem to want to fly downward.

I left the building open until after dark figuring he would find his way out in the dark when he saw the house flood lights, etc, and apparently he did.

Every year I find one or two dead in the building, they get trapped in there and cannot seem to figure out how to get out. Would be nice to have them stuffed and mounted for display, but they are a protected species and you have to have permits to possess them, so I end up throwing them out in the brush.

This little guy comes out to the same spot, seems like every day. I see him when I am working in the garage.

My wife saw a fox yesterday but we did not get a picture. Deer seem to visit my yard at night, at least in the winter, I have not seen them in my yard in a while.

Cheers!

At our last place, in the country - more of those spiders that others have had. We called them "pets" and fed them grasshoppers. Would get a lot of them.
