My metric drawer, nothing special and consists of four different brands, but it gets the job done for now. Craftsman raised panels, Craftsman Pro line wrenches, AmPro, Gearwrench ratcheting flex and non-ratcheting, and a Urrea adjustable wrench.

Old pic of my SAE drawer. The wrench organization of my new box is still not done. I think I'll wait with posting pics 'till after my Toptul stuff gets here...

While you guys have them out, how about measurements, for that thread I proposed some time ago, so we have a length comparison between brands?

I promise I'll start a thread this afternoon. :D

How about 16mm / 5/8in wrenches since they are the same size?
Measurements in mm for us fractionally challenged people?

This is most of my work wrenches, some of the larger sizes and the adjustable are not in these pics.

Wrenchr, you need drawer liners in that ol box.

UB, All those plomb piled on top of other fine old brands, isn't that against the law? At least against GJ policy? You might be responsible for someone's heart stopping.

I don't see how the taped up wrenches in pic 2 can do you much good? To me it would be a PITA unwrapping them to get at one wrench.

I am even more confused by the last pic. Unless this is your extras drawer I see line wrenches and at least one or two bleeder wrenches mixed in with standard wrenches. This must be the extras drawer isn't it? :headscrat

Perhaps in someone else's box, but not in Uncle Buck land where tools others label as antiques work for their keep, and all old wrenches bow before the great and mighty WIRE WHEEL!:spit:

UB, you got a set of those Cman "gripper" things, too... :D I thought they might be a good idea, but still haven't found a place where they would be useful... Do you know of any application for these things? Mine are in the "extras" drawer in another box now...

Ok, I thought it can't hurt to post some pics before the total organization takes place and w/o the Toptul stuff.

The last drawer will be for the bigger stuff (all from Toptul)...

Now, I'll dive in the measuring, JC :D

Jeez, fancy. I have most of my handtools in an overpriced plastic toolbox with a handle I broke as I was carrying it across the street to do an oil change on my car. I think I'm going to get one of those metal ones like the toptul that I've been seeing pics of here. They're a dime a dozen out here, under brand or no-names, from Hazet to nothing.

yes, they seem to work well together.............they don't even argue with the snap on's (but they are out numbered).

I have a set of those Snap-on midget double box wrenches, except mine are old time Blue-Points from the day that I piece mealed together here and there. I like mine a lot.

sorry , metric didn't come through and then found my allen and torx wrenches. has anyone ever seen those watsco allen wrenches? also forgot my long sk allen socket set. may show that later. i thought the allen and torx sockets blurred the line between wrench and socket so i added them in.

Man Dex, you have some enviable round handle goodness going on here! What brand are the deep offsets that are nested and setting on their sides? In particular I am looking at the three larger ones on the right side of the screen running up and down?

Some of those pics Snapmom is tossing up are almost worthy of Merkava's often seen pillow talk! I think I died and went to round handle heaven there!

(I have a thing for old school round handle wrenches, be it Snap-on, or Hinsdale!)

That old box is newer to me and I have not got around to drawer liner for it yet.
