I've got a few locations where I want to run either flexible metalic conduit or liquid tight fexible non metalic conduit behind then through drywall, but would like to find a good way to finish the penetration through the drywall. Please post a pic if you've got a good solution or have done it in a nice clean fashion.

running flex through the wall is going to look like ****. put a box in the wall then put a cover with a KO in it and use a liquidtite 'whip' to the machine. Using a 90deg fitting to attach to the box makes it cleaner looking and the cover doesnt flex from the leverage of a straight fitting and conduit. Metallic liquidtite is better as it is more flexible and will hang nicely. The plastic stuff has a mind of its own.

Here you go- generator feed through wall from this box, pipe ****** (with plastic bushings each end) to box on outside for whip from genset. Pretty much what has been suggested above.

My thought is to eliminate the extra box with knockout. Just need a slick way to make it pertyonce i do.

cover with a knockout in it + 90deg liquidtite fitting pointed down is cleaner than an extra box.

another cleaner option is instead of a box or normal box extender, use an outdoor extension ring with threaded holes in it. Done that in commercial kitchens a few times for a whip to an appliance.
