I'm a big fan of the various "show us your...." threads in this and various other forums.

I've found a lot of tools over the years, most of them lying in the street. A couple of my such treasures are below.

I found both the channel locks and multi-tool literally lying in the street in the last year. The channe locks are a little tattered, but hey, the price was right. The Husky multi-tool was at a busy intersection at which I was waiting for the light to turn green. I simply opened the car door and reached down and picked it up.

Other tools that I've found that come to mind are a maul (small sledge hammer) found lying in the street, and a nice 24" long Snap-on prybar.

I'd get a kick out of seeing tools that others have found.

Over here....
I once found a nice pair of Channel-Lock pliers under the hood of a truck. The kicker is the owner had scribed his first name and last initial on them....and it was the same as mine!

Another strange find. A pair of vise grip pliers laying in the street, covered with grime. I tossed them in my truck and cleaned them up a few days later. They belonged to my co-worker! Had his name and DL number etched into them. That was way funny having that conversation with him. Got a free couple of beers too!

I heard a familiar 'ring' as a flatbed truck passed by and walked out to the street. Nice large Crescent Wrench!

I have a manual tire changer and the tools. Its probably 50 years old. Driving down the street one day I found an identical bead breaker lying against the curb.

I found a new Yost 33C vise (96 pounds) in a scrap pile in Kandahar. I shipped it home bit by bit 'ala RadarO'Reiley style. The thing details for 1100.00 I couldn't see it going to a Afghani. It was new.

Railroad tracks shake out spare tires from under pickup trucks. It had never been used. :)
I saw a second one as it fell, but the car immediately behind it got it.

I've found two things in the road... no pics sorry.

A 3/4 inch drive SK ratchet with a large SK socket like 1-7/8" or something probably worth a couple hundred bucks

A 3 ft long American Made Pipe Wrench

Best thing is, I've found uses for both items a couple times, and both were found lying in the road on different occasions and different locations.

I followed a guy for two blocks today waiting for the big slip wrench to fall off the cap of his truck bed. It was just sitting there. I did give him a heads up at the first stop light though.

I found a 1/2 drive proto rachet with long extender and like a 3/4 inch socket or something. It was just in the middle of the street. Most recently a nice small LED flashlight in the road. It had been run over. A little polishing and it lives in my truck now.

I found a Stihl chainsaw in the road several years ago, but when I pulled over to pick it up the car behind me found it with his transmission pan, messy.
