I recently acquired a nice Craftsman 3/4" Ratchet & socket set complete with all sockets, extensions & sliding T-Handle stamped =V=. I believe the ratchet to be from the 50's to early 60's. It is stamped =V= with pointed A's in the Craftsman name on the handle. This version is pre-quick release. I have always wandered if the 3/4 ratchets have been available in all the different models through Craftsman's evolution of ratchets. I know the early BM model was a SK design. I'm assuming my model would be the next version after the BM model. Oddly enough the Craftsman catalog offers a 3/4 Flying V model before the quick release version came out. Of course I've never seen this version & question if it even exists. I'm curious to see all the different 3/4" versions that's out there...so post your pics & info. Let's see what's out there.

Nice looking set. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I believe that box head style in 3/4 appeared around 1952, and the Craftsman logo on other ratchets went from pointy A to flat A in 1969, so if I had to guess date range for your ratchet, it would be '52 to '68. My set is not as old, flat A and part #. Have some older BM and K stuff as well, but no complete sets yet.

Your set looks like it's in good condition. I always wanted to find a box like yours to put my set in. I ended up finding this cool military box that used to hold gun parts. It's the right size, so I went with that.
