A guy I work with wants to sell his 84" Epiq with side cab for $5000. Stainless top, pretty nice shape. Totally full of dust since we work in a body shop. It's complete overkill for me, but I'd never need another box. Nice price or nah?

Is that an 84 with a short side cab, looks longer then my 84.

I paid 4500 for my 84 with SS powertop. I would say 5k is a good deal.

I wanted an epic bad... Rock and Roll showed up back in the fall and I considered trading my KRL1022/hutch/locker and 1011 end cab in on an 84" epic/hutch/locker.. the numbers just didn't work out for me. giving me "16K" on trade for the masters setup to a
25,999 epic didn't sit well with me... trading my junk in and still paying 9,9999 dollars didn't work. bought a brand new KRL1032 for 4500 instead...

now months later.. I traded a fox body mustang roller chassis for a KTL1022.... I literally had 700 bucks in that car and I have my wall of green. I may try and trade that 1032 in on an epic 30" green cart since the cranberry doesn't match my setup at all... love the drawer configuration of the 1032, but again... it doesn't match and my OCD makes it even worse. and i'm not sure the OCD with the epic cart would make me flip out....

of course I could use the 1032 on the other wall where the Vidmar cabinets are....

Once again, it ***** being on the wrong coast... I even REALLY like the white with black color combo. Not to mention the matching bench.

Me? I'd take it with. After all, living in NY doesn't mean you have to give up wrenching...

It's NY...I'm sure they've found a way to tax toolboxes brought from other states. :bounce:

Just got my bedliner top on Friday. I’ll post an updated pic once I get to work today. Loving my EPIQ. No photo could ever do this teal paint job any justice whatsoever. A work of art from Snap-on. CRF450X, I’m loving that storm gray. Beautiful box man!

That color is awesome. I actually came close to buying a masters series that color a few months ago. I just thought it would look weird next to other stuff. And thank you!!

I love those Cranberry and Titanium colors on that 1032. I looked at one recently and it's quite handsome.

Here’s the EPIQ 68 with the bedliner worktop. It really seals the deal and makes the box whole.

Love it! Great color combo. I should have gone with a 68. My 84 is just to big.

Thanks, brother. I just wanted something different from everybody else. I “downsized” from a candy apple red and chrome trim triple bank KRL7023 and haven’t had any regrets. The 68 is more than enough for me. EPIQs are great conversation starters. There are 5 maintenance hangars where I work. There is a lot of Snap-on boxes but only 3 EPIQs in the entire facility. A 84 with a hutch, a 76 and my 68. And yea, I’ve seen your 84. That behemoth is gorgeous.

Any new Epiq pictures? Looking to compare examples between Candy Apple Red and Midnight Blue, both with Titanium trim and a stainless top.

candy apple and midnight both look awesome with titanium trim !

Lugnut, that's the problem. Sapphire Blue and Titanium trim  is my absolute favorite, but I don't want to have to deal with price premium or availability should I upgrade my box in the future.

I picked this one up last week pretty cheap.

84” Epiq In Arctic Silver. Gave $4300 for it.

Wow - that's a score! There's an 84 that's been on CL for about 3 or 4 weeks now. They won't take anything less than 10k.

I really want to see an 84" Epiq like this with the left bank drawers rearranged.

You can fit one of the power tool holder racks in that bottom 10" deep drawer. I've wondered for a long time though how it would look and function with the 10" drawer in top position. From there down all the rest of the existing drawers could be switched around to line up perfect with the middle bank.

I'm going to have to give some thought to that. I might attempt it. As of now that bottom 10" drawer is mostly empty, but the top one has all of my scan tools in it.

Not my favorite youtube, but he installed a power drawer.
If you can move the drawers around, you can install the power parts.

I might swap the two lower drawers on the left into that right bank.

I’m undecided.

Now I guess I gotta order the power drawer stuff.
Dude......you are awesome!!! I've been wanting to see this setup for months. I'm upgrading my KRL to an Epiq next year and this will help me make up my mind between a 68" and an 84". Thank you so much!

I feel like I should elaborate a bit.

The actual Epiq power drawer is 12" deep and comes installed w/ a 2" and 4" drawer above it. You can do any combination in that space above it from (1) 6" drawer to (3) 2" drawers but SO won't build a box with the power drawer in any other position from what I've been told. BTW, just in case anyone isn't aware of this, custom drawer configurations including adding or deleting drawers is free when ordering a box off the Rock 'N Roll truck.

As far as I'm concerned I could care less about chargers and batteries plugged in while in my box. In fact I'd actually prefer to not have them in there. My primary interest in a power drawer is the power tool rack and it seems convenient and appropriate to open the top left bank drawer for power tools and the top full width drawer for sockets and drive accessories.

The power tool rack from the Epiq or KRL boxes is designed for a 12" deep drawer but fits in a 10" deep drawer. In the guys youtube video posted above you can definitely get a feel for what would be required to turn a 10" drawer into a true power drawer and I can surely say it isn't for the faint of heart. Cutting of both the drawer and back of the box is required.

If you are like me and would be happy with just the power tool rack in a 10" drawer, the same youtube guy has another video he produced first which shows a simple and quick install of that part into his drawer. No modification of the box was required. I do believe between the two videos he may have shortened the drop in insert to allow it to sit a little deeper in the drawer and allow more tools to fit.

I have one of the power tool racks that holds 3 tools and is designed to clip into SO's dots and slots pattern found on locker doors and sides of carts. I adapted it to bolt onto my service cart and I've really come to appreciate how well thought out SO tool holsters are. Plus here in AZ, the molded rubber inserts on my cordless tools melt on the side of the tool that rests against the drawer liner so having a power tool rack in one of my drawers on my next box is a top priority.

Chris.

When I order my 84", I think I'm just going to get a power locker. No power drawer. Keep batteries and chargers in there.

Not a problem. I only broke and had to fix one slide. LOL

I still didn't like the layout, so I went back to that 6" drawer at the top left and a 3" directly below it. I think it looks more balanced this way. It also works better for what I mostly do, Scanners in top drawer, electrical stuff directly below.

I will probably order that power tool rack, not sure I want to go crazy and put electric in the drawer tho.
