AngryBeaver - great score. It's almost comical when one finds a score like this - you don't want to be too eager, but you don't want to let it get away either......

exactly. I was able to get a pic of the serial tag so I could call Snap On credit on my 3.5 hour trip there... it was paid off free and clear. young kid went crazy buying ****. got married and had a kid.... new wife said sell one of the boxes. he kept the classic 78 :wtf: I had to even try and barter with him before hand. he said he just lowered it from 1500 with Zero bites..... I said I'll be there at 8 o'clock.... I was gladly ready to pay the asking price, but you never know how desperate people are. I was afraid someone closer would beat me there.. I'm guessing everyone missed the epic part since it was listed and people just skipped it over.. He said he only paid 2K for it new off the truck..... and his dealer had had it for over two years. its slides are marked late 15... if the dealer had it two years and couldn't sell it... then the kid had it for a couple months.... yup its literally new. Prolly put more wear on it loading it in the truck. lol

Anyone’s got any pictures of flat black Epiq with red trim? Code PRF. I’ve got a KETN843 coming with the bedliner top in less than 3 weeks. Want to drool over the pics to pass the time.

go to yahoo, not google, and type in snap on epiq. It is like 3rd one in images, has a hutch and overhead unit.

I screenshot and cropped this for you off yahoo. I think it's the pic lugnut71 us referring to.926e49895498011ac4d19d8f64028ab8.jpg

My driver offered me a triple wide drawer 84" EPIQ for $6250 + my box, which is a cheap Chinese made 40 something inch stack with a side locker.

I don't need the 84" but it's only $350 more than the 68" EPIQ I was after and comes with an armored top.

What would be a typical discount for the 84" EPIQ bought off the Rock'n'Roll truck?

Trying to see if this is a good deal or an average one.

Prefer the 68" for wider drawers personally but can live with the 84" for the princely sum there is to pay.

Thoughts?

The R&R truck came by with my dealer last spring. Dude was off his rocker. His "best price" was over $2k higher than what my dealer offered the same box to me for. The only worthwhile time spent on that truck was to finally see some colors in person--gunmetal and storm gray.

YMMV, but for me, the R&R truck guy was a total joke.

Two years ago, the deals he had were much, much better.

First off, sounds like the deal he is offering you is a "Rock N Roll" truck type deal. I looked up the retail on a KETN843 (84" Epiq with 3 full width drawers) with a bedliner top and it's $17195. The last time I was on the R&R truck they were offering a $5500 rebate, another $1500 rebate and about $3000 trade in on my KRL bringing my price into similar territory.

Is the 84" he is offering you new or used? Also if you did get the exact box you want off the R&R truck, you can order a custom drawer configuration and other details like blacked out logo and casters at no charge!

The other decision you're contending with is the same one I've been on the fence about too.

On one hand I really like the 68" because both banks and the full width drawers are significantly wider than a 54" KRL. I just keep going back and forth because the 84" would probably be the last box I'll ever need and I can get a power tool drawer without giving up any space in the rest of the box. If I buy a 68" I feel like I'll want a locker (which means two lockers) too so I can have a power drawer in there.

Either way it's going to be a completely custom drawer config for me so I'll be hitting up the R&R truck next year for sure.

very nice ! I wouldn't get in a big hurry to change trim, look at it for a week or two and u might decide to leave it alone.

FWIW.... the RR truck priced me a 84"s custom drawer configured epic with hutch and SS top for 25,999. the trade in they were going to give me on my home setup was 16K. that was trading in a KRL1022 double bank, hutch, add on end cabinet and locker. Paying 10K after trading in my stuff was not in the cards for me.. it sounds like a very good deal imo. I ended up buying a KRL1032 (wide drawer configuration 3 bank) for 5K as a leftover, year end special. retail on that box is 13,800.

they offer decent deals. if you dealer had a box in stock that he picked up on promo or trade show specials, they can wheel and deal much better. I personally haven't seen any 84" epic purchased under 10K.

That does not sound like it was too great of a deal. Wait until a trade show, and you'll find better discounts. I received 20% off the box and 25% off accessories (work center top, power locker, and ss power top). Then they threw in a $4000 rebate.

sharp box victory. what other slot and dot accessories are you getting?

At the moment I have two T handle racks on order. I'm sure I'll find more widgets to throw up on there as I find the need/want. The T handle trays take up an absurd amount of space when you lay them flat.

sweet victory - is that Arctic Silver?

Yes it is.

Looks great man. Congrats! I like that you decided to keep the blue trim. Messing around changing all that trim, it would never be as good as factory.

Posting these pics for lugnut71. One of the guys in his shop just got this sweet white with blue trim baby Epiq. The blue slots and dots side panel is pretty awesome too!a2d276767d721e860831bc99bca59779.jpgdededbcb8d04fc7eccac6c2894b90487.jpg2fd33d808cadc11007bdc72d03d77178.jpg

Here’s my extreme green epiq mr. big with blackout package. Went with the mr. big over the 84” with a locker because it has 11 60” wide drawers and was roughly the same price off the rock n roll truck. Hutch and side locker are in its future, along with a matching cart

Here's my 84 next to my old 60. One of the guys at the shop really liked my old box that he bought it before the S.O. Guy could load it on the truck. The hutch is getting replaced when ever they decide to ship it, hopefully with the correct emblem this time. 79135acc995f98505a690e4aecde90df.jpgffde34d059a5a36da34aa0ee1ce03d3c.jpg

picked this up outside of detroit for a steel.. KRSC101. the first baby epic style cart. The KRSC100 only had two drawers and an optional third drawer. the option third drawer standard was the KRSC101. this should go nicely with my KEMW361 mobile work station....

So just ordered a 84'' Epiq today I am very excited to be able to stretch out so to speak. My krl1022 was feeling kinda small. I liked the sonic blue so that's what I went with. Anyone know if the eta of 4-8 weeks is accurate I can't wait to get it! Ill post pics when I do there isn't a single sonic 84 with ti trim in the thread, or on the internet from what I can see.

Congrats. Doesn't matter if it takes 4 or 8 weeks, I'm sure it'll feel like an eternity. Looking forward to seeing pics once you do get it.

As far as the sonic blue with titanium trim, I'm confident I found you a couple pics of an Epiq in at least that color combo, albeit a 68". Every other sonic blue Epiq I looked at with bright trim was clearly "shinier".

After many months probably more than a year of contemplating and some back and forth negotiating and rock and roll truck visits I have a 120 mr big on the way, claiming to ship April 30. Upgrading from my trusty 68 epiq I’ve had for several years

Im surprised there is no 84 in sonic but its ok. yes your right I wish they could get them out quicker its a long time to wait for something I want this badly. <- It's nice being able to say something like that without a bunch of snap on haters jumping down my throat. when my box comes in I will upload some good pics for everyone.

Sonic blue was in my “final four” colors of my new box ordering process. In fact a guy I work with just got a 68 in sonic blue with bright trim and stainless top. Looks great !

You will love your 84 these Epiq boxes are the nicest out there IMO
