Well my dealer has access to a storm grey 68 epiq with bright trim, I am not on facebook but searching internet i cannot find a pic of one in this configuration. Anyone have or seen one ? Thanks
I looked a bit for you and came up empty too. Looks like the storm grey is very commonly paired with the black or titanium trim and occasionally with colored trim.

You're not looking at getting rid of your 84" sapphire blue box are you?

Chris thanks for looking, no 84 is staying, i actually ordered a hutch for it yesterday. Our shop is 60 x 100, got three guys doing heavy equipment and need more room so we added a 40x54 on to move the three auto stalls over. Give those guys more room and the bonus is i get the new shop all to myself. So now my office is 150' from my toolbox, that is why i ordered the hutch.

I ordered two lockers the other day, they are discontinuing my flat blue and I wanted to get them before I couldn’t. Unfortunately they didn’t offer them with titanium trim, so I had to order the separate and it already arrived, now I have 6 weeks or so before the lockers show up, talk about a tease.

I thought the color combination on this Epiq was neat..

Local Snap-on dealer on the left sold it last month

I agree. I wouldn’t have thought that would be a good combination but really looks good. Very different. Kinda ‘ol school but modern at the same time.

Well guys I have a couple questions, are any of you guys in the shorter height size working out of an epiq? And if so how do you guys like or feel about it?

My lockers have been canceled, apparently they can’t do them in flat blue anymore. I was really disappointed, but like I told my driver, I wasn’t about to order them now in some other color, maybe later they will offer something I like. :(

My Box came in today!
this thing has soo much more space than my old 1022 its a big purchase but I'm happy to be able to spread out a little

Super Sonic Blue 84" Epiq with Power Drawer and Stainless Power Top
P/N KETP843B4ZBW

Thought I would add that bit in there incase anyone wanted one too!
Some of the Power Drawers seem taller than others, is there a choice in sizes?

So this showed up today. My dealer messed up on the paint code when he ordered it. It was supposed to be yellow with blackout. Instead it's just yellow with black trim. So now he has to order a different badge, handle, and 4 wheels.

If the paint underneath is in good condition how much work to change it to extreme green? I see some interesting colour combos for sale cheap near me but I want to stick with midnight blue.

Anyone got some creative ways they're utilizing their slots & dots storage? Experimenting to see if I like having hex bits hanging out on some VIM magrails.

Sweet Victory, can you give me dimensions on the VIM bit holders? I was looking at those today but couldn’t find any dimensions.

It uses the standard 8" rail. Rails are 1" wide, and the plastic bit holder part of it is 9/16" tall. I have two them back in that photo.

I’ve read through many of the pages here, how do those with the Epic roll carts (I believe they are called SideKicks) like them, and are they worth the money? I see tons of used Epic roll cabs for sale, in fact I’m going to buy one on Thursday, but haven’t had any luck finding a mini-Epiq used. Thanks in advance

they make two epic carts. The side kick is the flip top lid. that is KEMN361 and is the same kheight with the lid closed as an epic with a SS top on it. The one with the Solid work surface is the mobile work station. KEMW361. they are both the same cart, same dimensions, other than height. basically add 4-5" to the work station and you have the flip top. The one thing I don't like is how snap on only sells the work station with 4" drawers and no skinny drawers, yet the skinny drawers come on the side kick.

I have two epic work stations. the older, and discontinued first baby epic, the 3 drawer KRSC100/KRSC100, and the full drawer KEMW361. Loved it so much, I ordered another one. I was able to order the workstation with 2 skinny drawers through the Rock and Roll truck, other wise I would have had to buy 2 375 dollar drawers and a set of slides.... I don't care for the flip top lid myself, but a lot of guys do. I like the 4" shorter height and the ability to use the top as a mobil bench. You don't see them for sale because most people aren't dropping 4K-5500 for a "cart". you don't see many for sale, because the people that have them have usually evolved up to them. There is no better cart on the market. They are not for everyone. The ones that have them, aren't giving them up. And most people don't have room for a 30" deep cart.

Thanks so much for the info, I'm going to keep a steady look out for one of the solid top carts. I may luck into one someday

If you’re not in a hurry, one will come up.

I picked this up for $800. Guy had extra drawer liners taped to the SS top so he wouldn’t scratch it.

Guy needed the money & wanted it gone.

That's a great deal. If I found one at that price I would have to buy even if I don't need it.

That's where I was.

Surprisingly it was listed for quite a long time and no takers. He had it listed for a little bit more but took my offer. Said I was the only one to come look at it. I really didn't need it, but at that price I had to buy it.

It was the same scenario as another box I bought. Terrible pictures. It was pretty dirty and greasy with metal abrasive dust all over it. Said he owned it for 1 to 1 1/2 years.

It cleaned up like new.

That is a hell of a buy !! i would bet most people looking at it advertised for 800 had no clue the size of that cart.

Exactly!

It was actually listed for a little more. Really ****** photos in the ad. I couldn't even tell if it was midnight blue or royal blue. He didn't have the model number listed, or size. Just said Snap On cart.
With the SS top, and could make out the drawer configuration, I was confident it was an Epic.

It was out of town a way and kept putting it off to take a look. I really wanted a triple bank. Then the KRL1163 I end up buying came up for sale. I F'd around for a week or so deciding what to do. I bought the KRL, and a week or two later got the KEMW.

The Epic was listed for close to two months.
I know people were thinking either that is F'n nuts paying that much for a cart.
Or..... That guy is F'n nuts asking that much for THAT cart.

It amazes me a lot of people don't know the difference between box models.
KRA vs KEM. Including many guys I work with. To many a Snap On box is a Snap On box. Clueless!

It was F'n crazy. I had been watching, waiting, and looking at boxes for a few years. Then with in a couple of weeks I had two excellent used boxes.

BADASS. that's exactly how I got my flat black epic cart. it was listed as snap on box 1250$. as soon as I saw the pic, I called him for a pic of the tag and was on my way, called snap on with the serial number to make sure it was good to go. guy wouldn't budge on price, but I didn't care. I knew what it was and what they cost from the second I saw the flip phone picture. He said I was the first one to contact him in 2 months....

SaWeet!
I remember reading your post. I got mine shortly after your deal.

I looked at several boxes the past few years and passed on all until the two I bought. I wasn’t in a hurry so I held off until I found what I really wanted, and the right deal.

Most of the ads with ****** pictures were also ****** boxes.
