Everyone's got one, be it a box, a drawer, or a shelf, you've all got that one place you put things that are useful when you need them but just not right now. [emoji6] The junk box as we call it here in the shop is that place that gathers the pieces that are too good to throw out, but don't necessarily lend themselves to being filed away in a proper storage recepticle.
My junk box (we threw out the large one cause it was too big, which only lends itself to hoarding stuff you'll never find again, particularly when you need it most) is an old box my uncle build in my Grandparents garage some 40-50 years ago. I had the bright idea for this thread when I knocked the stupid thing off the end of a cart, spilling all kinds of goodies onto the floor from clevises, a pair of big hinges, tent pegs, big 1/2" threaded cable clamps, gate lock, etc.
With that, here's mine.
