I’d like to see what your small portable tool box looks like, I start with my cheapy one I’ve owned for 12 years. This is something I keep in the back of my truck, don’t really feel like carrying my snap on tools but this is excellent for light mobile mechanic work or when visiting the junk yardIMG_8101.jpeg

When I worked in aviation, I was always on the move, instead of in a shop. I had my tools broken into several boxes so I could move them by myself. The main box was a 3-drawer Craftsman. The sockets and drive tools were in another 3-drawer Craftsman. Files, sheet metal tools, and tap & die sets were in a 2-drawer Craftsman, and there were three Craftsman carry boxes with lift-out trays for the various other items.

It all was pretty well organized, and didn't take up all that much space when stacked up. I needed to spread things out in order to work out of them.
