These are what I carry...

Firstly, there is a Veto Pro Pac. It has a shoulder strap, but I took it off as I generally don't like them on larger/heavier bags. What I do like about bags in general & the Veto in particular is the upright tool storage that makes finding a given tool much easier than digging through a damned box! The Vetos are very nice and very expensive.

I use this bag as my go-bag. I can do quite a lot with just the contents contained herein:

LGsToolBags1.jpg

LGsToolBags2.jpg

The second bag I unload contains the cordless tools & accessories I use most frequently - a hammerdrill, an impact driver & a flashlight. In addition, there is a 24" level, some wrenches, etc. Every bag I own contains a quality multi-bit screwdriver, an Olfa knife & a tape measure.

LGsToolBags3.jpg

LGsToolBags4.jpg

LGsToolBags5.jpg

The third bag is for electrical repair essentials. It contains the 4 screwdrivers most used in Canada - a 1/4" flat, #2 Phillips and #1 & #2 Robertsons - and a 5/16" nutdriver in addition to some Stripmasters (the only way to go!). Then there's straight & bent longnose and linesman pliers, a pair of dykes, a tapping tool, a non-contact voltage tester and a 6" adjustable...

LGsToolBags8.jpg

Most common electrical issues are solved with the above, but if I need more tools I bring out my dedicated electrical bag which contains the less-commonly used screwdrivers, meters, more testers & hardware...

There is also another identical bag to the cordless bag above that holds the less-frequently-used cordless & hand tools.

Of course, there is then dedicated plumbing, mudding & painting kits, but they are all contained in boxes. And then socket sets, power hand tools, table & mitre saws, and on & on! :bounce:

Jupp, i´m from Sweden. How could you guess that, you´re good!
Maybe you saw my 1952m bahco set in the bag?

:)
Because of the Parat case so it was clear Europe, and the amount of Euro tools from Wera + Knipex. Could be everywhere in Europe even with
the Bahco wrenches + Bahco adjustable wrench + 1 Bahco screwdriver :)
but the Bahco pipe wrench and (i think) Mora knife (?) say "sweden" as origin of the owner :) ;)

You are the man, nice work!
And the knife is a Mora 2000, that is impresive that you pulled that one off!

When it comes to german tools, there is no better then that!
And the Parat toolcase is just amazing!
Cheers  and have a nice weekend!

Thank you; high praise indeed!

Outstanding.

It's a Wera/Knipex/Bahco bonanza!

Red & yellow, actually...

And north is correct; they are Fullers.

What brand/size bag is in the last set of pictures? Thanks!

Apologies, Nick; I didn't see your question until this thread was bumped again.

The last bag is a Mastercraft Maximum bag (that has been discontinued) from Canadian Tire. It's of middling quality, but I liked it because it is quite large for an electrician's bag and the bottom is plastic so I don't need to worry about laying it on wet floors...

My main tool bag is in the car because I have been doing a lot of phone work lately, but here are some of my others.
1) Sound repair/install stuff...mostly pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, my favorite Klein crimper. Soldering iron and multimeter normally go in there too. Small parts boxes for connectors and adapters.

2) More of the same bag

3) Misc stuff stored in a Craftsman SST, 20 bucks at a garage sale!
003-1.jpg

4) One of my favorite tools in the top left, for punching down all 8 wires of a Cat 5 data jack at once...saves so much time!
004-1.jpg

5) Cable TV tools-compression crimper, strippers, wire cutters, zip ties, couple nutdrivers, 10 in 1 driver, security shield tools...makes it easy to grab and go if I know I am only doing cable TV work.

Sometimes I get bored with tool bags and move stuff between them, have not bought a new bag or box in years.

this one one of several bags i have, but probably one of the most used.
mac tools brand, it was a freebie full of tools from a car that i bought and scrapped.

it spends most of it's time strapped down in my s-10 off road truck.
gets occasional use in my service truck, when i know the small bag i have there wont be big enough.

Any pics of what's inside? :)

no pics inside, i dont keep any tools in it exceept when it's needed.

contents vary, depending on what i think i may need
the bottom compartment holds a 1/4" dr sk std/mm set
metric combos
std combos
axle nut socket
dykes, strippers and crimpers
vice grips
channel locks
med size hammer
mag screwdriver & various phillips, straight, allen & torx bits
seal/oring picks
med size ladyfoot bar
multimeter
3/8" dr std & mm sockets
1/4" & 3/8" dr ratchets and ext
drive adapters, reducers, swivels
12" cresent

i can actually cram so much stuff in the bag, i dont want to carry it very far :lol_hitti

bigger and heavier tools i leave in my tow vehicle.
we've actually done some surprising trail repairs with the contents, several times removing components from broken trucks, heading back to the parking lot, doing some makeshift repairs so the vehicle can at least be on all 4 wheels again, and towed back to the trailers.

Finally got some pics - I brought my service cart home, and now work out of this Husky tote. I build electrical control panels for industrial customers.

Sorry about the size of the pics.

This is my tote/bag. Currently working on a wall at home so I've got the hammer, drills, putty knives, etc.

But I'll always carry screwdrivers, ratcheting screwdriver with shanks, bits, tape measure, pencils, sharpies, and stud finder.

I might be stretching the definition of a tool tote a little bit, because I use two 5 gallon buckets with organizers that weigh around 60 pounds each, but it is what I use on a regular basis.

They sit on a salvaged rolling cart for any project in the garage. I love them for their dense tool packing and because I can get almost any tool quickly and with one hand without having to open any drawers first etc. which I love.

They can be transferred to a vehicle easily, and for smaller or task specific jobs I have a couple different tool belt/tool bag setups that I stock from these buckets before putting them on and going to work. To supplement these two buckets I keep all the power tools in cases with all their accessories and all the lesser used or more specialty hand tools are in salvaged file cabinets. I have a 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" socket sets in portable cases and a small tote bag of combination wrenches that I can take with me anywhere for jobs away from home without having to take anything from my main wrench and socket chest at home.

WOW! You do not mess around!
Nice how you marked all your screwdriver sizes on the tops. Are the ones in the 4th picture all multi-bit drivers with a specific driver in each?
