Hi Michael, I can't read the S/N; that often has a date code embedded. can you type it out?
I think its made for M/F by someone else, and Wissota may be a candidate?
I’m leaning towards Doerr as the OEM.

Missing tool rest or some kind of shields/covers.
Hi guys. Can anyone tell me the year of this one? There are no markings or stamps on the plate. I know i need the right stand... before someone else says itThank you!
Bench grinders from downunder-Australia
Just a couple of pictures of some vintage 1/3 hp Australian made bench grinders circa 1960. The grey one was my late fathers and has been in my life as long as I can remember (I’m 48). The green one I happened across recently in an estate sale and I couldn’t pass it up. It is the original finish from 60 years ago. Both were made by GMF electric motor company, sadly out of business since around 1980.
Cheers

I picked this up at an estate sale in Chandler, AZ about 10 years ago. I don't use it often, but it works great! Can it run a grinding wheel on the other side as well? Are parts available to allow this?
a 1950's Baldor 10" 1.5HP, 220V-3ph bought on ebay for $100 20 years ago. The problem was I was in AZ and it was in NY. My brother carved out a plastic milk crate, attached casters and a handle and brought it on a commercial flight as carry-on.
He kept the baldor stand and I fabbed a new one.
It is a beast of a grinder.

thanks and I posted it over there on the Wissota thread.
i'm wondering what the attachment is for cause I haven't taken a real close look at it yet?
also if anybody needs my shields on this Wissota i'm going to toss them in a drawer or if you pay shipping they are yours. glass is cracked and needs replacing but I won't need them.
JoCo: how are you removing all the old paint? is that BLO or do tell for the finish. BTW looks awesome
Just recently picked up this "beauty"- anyone got info's on these "Union" grinders?.
