I just love old tools:

The open handles are B&C and the solid handle is a Robinson.

If you are talking about the second from the top it is a Vlchek 15".

In order from top to bottom
Billings 21"
Vlchek 15"
Fairmount 11"
Fairmount 9"
Fairmount 9"
Unknown
Barnes tool company

Thanks, any idea where I can find one?

I found it at the flea market here a couple months ago. The Vlchek and Billings are the largest I have run across so I got them both. The 9" and 11" seem to be much more common. If I find another i'll pick it up.

So do I, but is there any chance that any Kamasa tool is actually made in Sweden?

hehe true ;) I meant " I totally love tools designed in Sweden and made in Taiwan"

But they still got the same level of quality as the german and US made tools I think.

thank you for being a valuable contributer. some guy wants to see some adjustables and all you can do is brag about your knipex. good for you! :wtf:

His response doesn't seem too out of line, had he just posted a pic. I try not to use adjustables too much and I think for the most part, I like my Pliers Wrench better as well (think of it as a hybrid adjustable wrench).

Here's a pic of a cheapo adjustable, Plier Wrench and a couple other pliers.

Monte didn't mention it, but if you look at the two Bahcos at the top of the jpeg you can see that the movable jaws have serrations on them. That's because you can unscrew the movable jaw so it comes completely out of the wrench, flip it over and reinstall it and it now becomes a pipe wrench. I have a 9071 like in the pic. It is by far the coolest adjustable I own!

Here is my collection. I only started collecting around mid Sept. 2010. As you can see I have several different brands from wizard,Herbrand, proto, fairmount,JP Danials, vlechk, wardmaster, etc, etc. The one pipe wrench is a Schick which was made during the war out of aluminum or magnesium due to lake of steel. I think it is somewhat rare and I need to take some time and clean it. The 18 inch fairmount on the top is in great shape and I picked it up for 10 bucks last week or so.

This is my user set of Diamonds, plus 2 of my Grandad's Crescents, which I will never part with until I croak. The 24 inch just got me out of a bunch of trouble along with a Ridgid 36" on a very stubborn reducer on a pump I am restoring.

I carry a 12" Bahco in the truck - an adjustable and a pipe wrench all in 1. Bahco rocks!

I agree that this is amazing. Do you know where it came from? Was it an advertising piece, or something a saleman used?

They look like fresh out of a sand casting without having the overburden cleaned off yet. You see them after they have turned over so the overburden is behind the cast part now and not lying on top like when it was poured.

Here are my main adjustables. I forgot the pipe wrenches though. The main highlight is the Steinadler with it's sliding center jaw that enables you to quickly switch from toothed jaw to smooth jaw. Pulling the handle out allows it to quickly slide the jaws to the nut and then lock it down. No turning a thumb screw required.

I would be lost without them and Channeloks, probably have 40 or 50 of them.

I've posted this before, and since it's a Plier-Wrench and it's adjustable, it qualifies. It's patend date precedes Petersens Vise-Grip application.

Any tool galoots with ANY info about these, sound off. I'm not seeing any other pair like it.

I bought it at auction. Diamond Duluth closed and moved in '83 or so and to become part of The Cooper Tools group. Tools marked Diamond USA since that time. Diamond material became really prevalent over Northern and especially Northeastern MN. I suspect (don't know for a fact) that these pieces might have gone out in surplus auctions. Definitely an advertising piece, but I can't guess the audience. I do know that before the closing one of my all time favorite advertising pieces was a large board of all tools made by Diamond hanging in a corridor at the Minneapolis airport. Chances of winning a mega-lottery are better than finding that board and having enough cash in your pocket to buy it. On the other hand, maybe someone is sitting on one now????

some of kamasas adjustable wrenches, I totally love swedish made tools

I use to have a set just like that except they where made by GM goodwrench. I LOVED them! Over the years all three have been lost or stolen and Ive been looking to replace them ever since..

The only composite adjustable like them I can find are the Blue-point's and the Greenlee's. Both are very expensive with the blue-points being the cheapest.

How much did that set run you?

I have a new lobster that was made in Japan I have to post. ANyone heard of that brand yet? I have a nice New Britian too and once on the first day of a new job I had an oil change come in with a 10" Diamond adjustable stuck to the drain plug I noticed as I was raising it up. Finders/Keepers! The owner didn't know anything about it. lol

Here's a few of my more "interesting" (to me) crescent-style wrenches. I left out the newer ones I have, which usually get the most use.

From top to bottom:

10" Crescent (this one is interesting to me because of the sliding lock for the adjustment screw)
10" Blue-Point by Snap-On
8" Crescent
8" J.H. Williams Superjustable

there is also "Atorn" + "Proxxon". I think there is a "Wurth" version too.

Yes , actually my 8" lobster skeleton adjustable has a wider mouth than my 10" Sidchrome (Made in Sweden by Bahco) older style. The skeleton is also about 1/3 the weight of that thing.Still , they are both good quality things the lobster is just a more modern design.

I bought a couple sets of cheaper ones to put in trucks, ATD from the parts stores and I was surprised at how good they are. The 12 inch is super heavy and the jaw opens wider, big enough that it fits a 7/8 structural nut.
