Hello GJ Friends.

I just bought a Dake Model 2 1/2, 6 ton ratcheting arbor press. Weighing in at >300#. The first picture has a yard stick leaning against it for size reference. Looking forward to using it.

Searching the internet, I found little information about them. Seems there's not a collector frenzy about arbor presses as there is about vises, tool boxes, bench binders, etc.

So, please show off your arbor press(s). Tell your story about them. Seems like they're cool looking ones out there.

IIRC you're missing a pin. Think there are two, one goes into the loops on top of the spine and thru for compound mode. The missing pin goes from the outside of the "quadrant" in to lock it in ratchet mode.

Its really easy to make, simple cold rolled or W1 drill rod, sawed from a solid round, usually nominal sizes like 5/8" and 3/4".

Whats up with the bolt welded (?) to the handle socket?
