Horder - I could see these being taps without the threads ground. Square end for hand tapping with four flutes. I run into these taps all the time in production applications.

I doubt any production shops buy their tooling at the dollar store, but you are welcome to these at the cost of shipping.

Funny how everyone who I showed them to in person thought it was funny, everyone on here wants to think they are something that they are not...:dunno:

It might very well be defective. Quality is not high on the list when worker get pay 10 cents an hour and product sell for a dollar at the dollar store. Don't buy tools at the dollar store.

NO, not you at all, and I thank you for the post....it was inferred early on in this thread that I had created this as a troll, I had to look it up to find out what it actually meant as I am not up with all the forum slang, so now I am signing my post as Troll.

Now I know why I avoided forums all these years, its a lot easier talking face to face!

You said you run into them all the time...I just offered them to you for the cost of postage if you wanted them, that's all.

Nonsense! *some* Forums are awesome! You just have the hunt for the one with the right crowd.

Over at FTE (Ford Truck Enthusiasts) the guys there are SOOO helpful and kind.
I can't count how many times guys with parts trucks in the yard will just send me stupid pidly items for the cost of shipping.

Also, it helps bring the 'brotherhood' closer when there are GTG (get togethers). I doubt there is anything like that for tools, but we always enjoy meeting somewhere central in the states and running dyno and drags.

Hang in there ya troll. ;):p

I did NOT use a cheater pipe on the handle. But on a positive note, it fits in the drawer better.

I'm not sure what outside needle nose pliers are or why you would want to break them on purpose, but if it makes you feel better, go ahead, maybe start a new thread about the things you buy just to break them?

It's for using wire to tie tree (shrub) branches to the trunk. I would gladly start that thread if I were actually able to break them.

You misspelled "hoarder" bro. Maybe buy a dictionary instead of tools smart guy.:dunno:

Yes, that's already been pointed out In this thread, thanks for replying to my request on how to change it and not giving me a hard time about it.

And with that......I will leave this thread to DIE. I hope you all do the same!

No, you don't.

:dunno: I guess your point is that if you buy a Snap On product they will communicate with you and take care of it? :dunno:

Oh man. I hope you did not get hurt when that broke. is that from HF ? almost bought one. think I will get a Rigid instead.

i've used my pipe wrenches from hf for a while. bought their 4 piece aluminum set that goes up to 36" for only 35. it's lasted and done it's job. i do have some rigid aluminum also, but the hf ones work fine. one bad tool does not make all of them bad.
