I spend the majority of my time on Fords, and have gotten some very handy in a pinch Ford tools. Always looking for more, show what you have that saved time and money. A few of my favorites are below. First one is a kit to drill out broken manifold studs, spring project I have coming up. Second is a Rotunda pinion depth setting kit, third is a small wrench for powerstroke turbo bolts, clip removal tool, and the last is for pulling the PCV screen out of 5.0 engines. The last 3 are for spark plug repair and removal.

Thats what I am hoping. Got a qoute from a shop to do it, was $1,300 for both sides. If this does does what the hype says, I should have them both done in a weekend, and save $700. I could then resell the kit for 1/2 price to recoup more money, or rent it out.

Does this count?

A bit overkill for DIY but I ended up with this. This is the real Rotunda not the Chinese knockoffs that self destruct in a puff of smoke...lol. They have some pretty convincing fakes on eBay.

Should I post photos of my oxy-acetylene torch and my various hammers?

In all seriousness, the only Ford tools I have are a 12mm 12 point impact swivel socket for driveshaft bolts, and a torsion bar key tool. The latter works on some Dodges too.

I do have a Rotunda electrical terminal pin probe set from my Ford dealership days, so I guess that counts.

I try not to buy job-specific tools if I can help it, as they are used so rarely.

Hey blown94conv. Let them deal with the head ache of drilling those bolts out. They are a pain in the backside. In my personal experience I would let someone else do it. This is speaking from a lot of experience with ford exhaust bolts. Spent 5 years working on the diesels.

Once I take off the splash shield and remove the shock mount they don't look that bad.

Famous last words though.

Drill guide, 1/4 drive chuck for an air ratchet, specific length drill bits. The guide plate had a steel insert to center the bit over the broken bolt.

Early Ford tools count, right? I have a long bar for compressing valve springs to get the horseshoe clips out of Flatheads and a really old hub puller for the tapered axles. I also modified a wrench to adjust the lifters in Flatheads as well. I bought a reprint K.R. Wilson tool catalog which has a ton of tools used back then. Very neat stuff in that catalog.

I would love to have the pinion depth kit. Would you mind telling me where and how much you paid for it? It's tough to setup the 9.75/10.25/10.50 without it.

Ford radio removal tool.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002SRBJ8/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Had a 92 Taurus wagon 3.8l and liked the vehicle but had many electrical problems. Took parts of the dash apart many times to try and fix them.

My WWII generation father, uncle and aunt all said they had a Ford and with the problems they had , they never bought another. I added myself to that list.
