Purchased a new SK 45173 ratchet but kind of disappointment at the QC. If you look at the head of the ratchet you can see it's thicker on one side. This is my first SK ratchet. I don't think it should perform any different but just bugs me. The ratcheting action is great.

One of mine is also VERY slightly out of round but it doesn't affect performance so I call it "character."

I have an SK Wayne 40970 that is straight up ugly from the factory. It is offcenter like yours, as well as having a slope on top of the head vs being rounded in the center, when viewed from the side. But it does function 100%.

I also have a pre-ideal 40970 that is perfectly shaped.

Stuff happens.

IIRC correctly, the ratchet heads are hand ground down to size, so some variance is to be expected. This looks to be a bit more on the higher side of it....but yes, it should work just fine.

I was looking at the Wright round head one and was wondering if you guys have it?

YES! I want to buy them too. Waiting on my first ratchet from Tone, once I get that, I have a feeling there will be more purchases from their catalog.

Received this 1/16 - 7/8, 1/16 increments. The holder is made to fit on a corner. I have a different idea for a hinged mount bouncing around in my head.

Have another project happening at the moment so this is a round 2 it. Had to grab it 100.$$ discount was hard to pass.

Two awesome sets. That must be a newer version of the snap on set, the old ones didn't have triple square sockets. I have a really old one that has just reg sae, met, and torx. With a Phillips bit socket and flat head bit socket. The stubbies are very useful though

I'v been watching for the right deal on eBay for some time on this set, its amazing what margin there must be on Snap tools. this was 60% off the inflated list.

I went nuts this month can't wait to show off the new box that is coming

Here's one I made a couple weeks ago. Need to get it painted and get the foam attatched to the plates.

What exactly is this? Looks like a press of some sort. I would love to hear more.

Kydex press for holsters/sheaths. Based it off of this one but used what I had laying around, .250 plate and .250 walled 2"tube. Heavy when I had to carry it 300' to the car.

Combo squares from the local home improvement big box and some Wiha bit drivers from KC Tool. I basically have the long, stubby, and ratchet with me at all times and I ordered additional bits so that I have 99% of the fasteners I run into covered--all stored on-board the tools.

The snap ring was loose when it arrived, but I put it back in and it seems to be great. Feels very nice.

Going to give this a try for a welding positioner. Offer excepted for $130.00 in Delhi India Saturday evening and it arrived Wednesday morning. The 4" chuck on top was mine but it attaches rather nicely to the 65mm included chuck.
Just made a plate to connect the drill and keep the handle attached.

Have you tried the Wiha scraper yet? How it performs?

I am looking to buy some scraper and I am looking to options like this Wiha and Super Scraper.

Thanks

I have the Matco branded version (same thing) and it's a good ratchet to have. Feels pretty good in the hand, nice backdrag. Not an everyday go-to ratchet, but great for cramped spaces where you need that 3/8" drive.

I'm thinking most of the remaining sets of those large size Craftsman Industrial full polished US made wrenches went to Garage Journal members

Mine arrived safely yesterday but, the two bags of heavy wrenches in a flimsy box wasn't the brightest move by Sears parts.:dunno:

I think you right. I gonna wait and keep checking to see if they get anymore in stock same price (doubtful). Will probably order another set if so.
