Picked up a new set of Channellock 430s today for a to go box. I took a small advantage of Menard's 11% off sale.

New Titan tiny 1/4 drive roto ratchet. 90 tooth action, measures 4 1/16 inches long overall. That's a dime next to the ratchet head for size reference.
I'm not a fan of industrial finished or black tools but, this called to me today. It is confused because, the roto head is chrome while the handle is black :dunno: what I like about the handle is that it's one piece instead of the normal tuning fork style handle and there is a knurled portion forward of the tapered handle that is perfect for spinning between your thumb & index finger when in nut driver mode.
For $15 at an O'Reilys I don't expect a whole lot but, we'll see how things go. Made in Taiwan. The direction switch appears to be some type of plastic.

Bought an Evolution 14" cold saw (Part number: R355CPS) and all I can say is this is the best "chop saw" I have ever used. I've used abrasive chop saws and never achieved these results.

Untitled by C W, on Flickr

INstructions are included that state this but I figured I'd state it here too. The smaller the material you are cutting the closer you need to move the fence toward you.

Long story short... I needed a set of wrenches in my office to fiddle with my Air Brush fittings... I got tired of going 100 feet to my garage to get my good/normal wrenches... Bought a set of Crescent SAE 1/4" - 13/16"... Missing the 7/8" so I got them cheap. Got the correct size Ernst Holder... I may or may not get the 7/8" as a single... there is also a 32" wrench I think that would not have been included anyway... doubt I need that one.

I officially wore out my 2" hole saw blade from Milwaukee... should have bought a whole new set after looking at the other Milwaukee hole saws... but I got the 2" in Spyder... I'm trying this brand out. I got the mandrel already.

I have the EVOSAW380 and would never go back to the abrasive saw.

The SK ratchet I'm not entirely sure why I bought it, I already had a 3/8 SK Wayne but whatever. The rest was my first order from Amazon.jp. The shipping time would have been a lot more impressive if they hadn't waited a week and a half before shipping. The Vessel woody's are nice, one handle had a small chunk of flash that came off cleanly and the PB Swiss is really impressive. The handle isn't nearly as small as I had imagined and the overmold has a subtle amount of give, very nice.

You get a deal on it? Been looking for one, it's not a priority for me at the price it's listed for though.

HD made a bunch of mistake on my order and for some reason they took 100 off, so I got lucky. Retail price is $259.00 for the kit or $159.00 for bare tool. I will say the size it larger than the air ones but you have less bulk from the air hose and a lot quieter.

I was in the need of long hex and torx socket bits, after looking around I bought a couple of sets from Tekton and they look impressive. Looking forward to using them. Very nice cases with real hinges. And the 10% back is a nice touch.

Williams ws14. Wish they made a metric set. Maybe I’ll regret not getting the snap ons? For $64 my wallet is happier.

Williams 1/4 swivel. According to GJ these can go 90 degrees and shoot lightening bolts. We shall see.

Proto 3/8 bit holders with Zephyr torx bits because I can’t justify snap on.

All of the above from Zoro + 25% off coupon motivation. Zephyr bits were from McMaster.

I have no experience with metal chopsaws what so ever.
But is this a nice good cut? Based on my lack of knowlegde, I would have expected something Sharp and crisp, like on a pictureframe.

Were did I assume wrong?

Abrasive chop saws are for rough cutting. There are always burrs and whatnot that need to be cleaned up. Would never consider it a precision tool

I've been going straight USA and have been picking up some incredible deals on eBay for stuff, but I see Zoro come up a lot. Is this 25% off coupon available somewhere?

Also, on lack of certain metric stuff from Williams USA, I do find that weird. Especially on six points in 1/2 inch, and they dont see to offer any size for metric allen head sockets, which are certainly common enough that they should.
You mention going with Proto. Similar price point to Williams USA?

Waiting for the Zoro 25% codes requires some discipline. 20% coupons are pretty frequent. Every now and then they have an open to everyone 25% off. I used the occasional personal code they sent me this time around. I started getting them after I put in a big first order. Also check out the Zoro coupon thread in hot deals sometimes members post their codes they aren’t using to share the wealth.

I suspect it was strategic decision for some of the USA made Williams not to be available in metric to up-sell people on their big brother and more expensive snap on brand. Good thing there is plenty of choices out there. I tend to personally cross shop proto, sk, wright, and Williams as well as equivalent Asian and European brands depending on best perceived value, certain product lines and GJ feedback/peer pressure. Proto ASD chrome wrenches, breaker bars, and these bit holders seem to be some of the good stuff to get from proto for example from a bang for the buck perspective.

You can get matching lock cylinders from snap on, and swap them out... I can take a pic of what they look like if you want...

Thanks for the tip. Never really went to that section of the forum, but now I will frequent it!
