My set of SK double box short offset wrenches just arrived. While working on my truck installing an O2 sensor, I realized that I needed a shorter wrench set. My shortest Craftsman wrenches were still too long. Then I sort of went overboard and bought about 7 sets of short pattern and stubby wrenches. This set is metric 12 point double box. I also bought 6 point, combination, 12 point combination, open end, metric, inch, etc. More to come. :D

unless hes slinging mud around it should be one of the easier colors to keep clean. Its the dark boxes that look terrible from all the dust.

My charcoal krl7022 looks awful when it is dusty or has water spots on it. My white f150 always hides dirt. I would take white before black for everyday but they all look good clean

Bought my first set of SK chrome sockets. I'm hooked.
Got a BOGO deal on 1/4" semi-deeps.

Will be phasing out my Craftsmans in favor of these.

Forgot to take pictures. But just got in approximately 40-50 proto pro sockets. 3/8" drive metric shallow set from 8mm-19mm. 1/2" drive fractional set from 7/16" to 1-1/16". And a few other various ones to fill in some gaps.

Just counted it up, and I only have 125 empty spaces left on my 2 sets of Westling Machine socket racks. 46 on the shallow racks, and the rest on the deep racks. Mostly in the metric side of things.

More screwdrivers... I have a serious problem

Got the hard handles because IMO, only small-handled screwdrivers really need that much grip (Like the red mini's in the picture). Easier to clean too.

Honest, I only went in to Canadian Tire on Saturday to get a 5 litre jug of 5W-30W oil. How was I to know that they had some socket sets on sale ...

Initially, it was a 28 piece metric/SAE impact socket set (reduced CAD$114.99 to around $40) that caught my attention. Until that purchase, my only impact sockets were the unbranded 10 piece shallow metric set that came with the inexpensive Chinese pneumatic impact driver that I bought over a decade ago. I'm not saying I didn't trust them as impact sockets, but I didn't, and they're now part of my non-impact 6 point metric socket collection.

Despite my best intentions of going straight to the checkout, it didn't happen, and I spotted a Stanley 122-piece Professional Grade Black Chrome set that was reduced from CAD$239.99 to a figure in the mid-$50s range. I've been meaning to replace my 3+ decades old really cheap unbranded 3/8 inch and 1/4 inch drive socket stuff for a while, and while the Stanleys don't have the cache of a brand like Snap-On, I can't justify spending Snap-On prices to play weekend hobby mechanic.

My wife's comments of "don't you already have all the tools you need" was met by my reply of "don't you already have all the cookware you need" and no more was said.

I see that this week, Canadian Tire has a 4-piece 1/2-in.-Drive Impact Accessory Set that matches the impact sockets I just bought, on sale at 70% off for $9.44, so I guess that will be my next purchase.

That is the best flare tool ive ever used...once you use it you wont ever go back

I have been trying to use the blue point hand flaring tool (also made by mastercool) to flare the stainless brake lines for my project car and it wasn't working. Tried this out and got a perfect flare the first time and it was easy to set up too!

Now I want to order the 37* die set to do some an fuel lines!

How do you like your dewalt planer? HD had a few on clearance today, I was thinking about picking one up.

Easily the best benchtop planer on the market. I had a Rigid R4331 (2 actually) and both ate themselves alive. Finally returned them and got the Dewalt like I should have in the first place.

Sears Craftsman cable-operated hose clamp pliers, necessary for hose clamps on newer vehicles (e.g. Mini Cooper S). Made in France (!?!) Exactly the same (except for the over-molded grips) as those sold by Snap On (#SHCP1) for $107.60. $35.99 online.

36mm shallow socket, for oil filter housing (VW/BMW/Mini/Mercedes/Ford Truck, etc.). China-manufactured, but only $14.97 delivered, compared to $57 plus shipping for the german-made Hazet from Samstag sales. It says chrome-vanadium, so it should hold up okay in my use:

Snap On impact swivel sockets, 10, 13 and 15mm (my favorite sizes), brand-new, $36 for three on ebay, compared to $39 each from SO:

While I was at Sears, I also used bonus SYWR points to pick up the USA-made plastic socket rail for free!

You can count the things in Sears made in France on one hand.
