Should have gotten the crimpers too. The whole set is very handy!

I did get the whole set actually, he actually had sold the crimper to the another shop a few days prior, that tech had the set but "misplaced" the crimper. Said He'd have it for me next week and gave me $6 off the set for my patience. No complaints from me. Wont have a huge need for them until remote start season comes in a few months.

Glad to know they are worth it. I know last winter i can think of about 43728943 times i would've loved to have the stubby set. Some wires i have to get to are burried way he hell up under the dash where i can barely get my hand up there, let alone a full pair of strippers.

That's good! :) I would say they are worth it. The only thing I might supplement the set with is a set of long handle crimpers. Like most of the Klein cutter/crimper combos. Small handle crimping pliers can be hard on already achy hands...

Already got numerous longer crimpers, 2 or 3 kleins, mac and a snapon. I usually misplace 1-3 of them on a saturday afternoon somewhere throughout the shop when things get crazy. Instead of hunting under packages and boxes and paperwork, i just grab another from my box. I've always found them during clean up though.

have a few other things coming as well but SO online ordering seems to drop ship every single item separately. Came home yesterday at lunch and found a box the size of a shoebox with three 1/4 comfort grip ratchet handles in it. The screwdriver came in the same sized box! I prdered a dead blow hammer as well. i suppose that'll show up in a box that can hold a washing machine!! :lol_hitti

Why did Snap-on switch to laser etching, I sent a 10-19mm set back and got these off ebay (the 21 & 22mm are the new style for comparison):

Went to Sears yesterday to exchange some screwdrivers and a chisel. They had clearance deals on a lot of pliers and crescent wrenches. I could not pass up 6.97 for the 8 inch slip joint pliers! If I had a larger toolbox (or wallet) I would have found more stuff to buy lol

-Some drawer liner...
-Few USA Clearance Kobalt sockets (All but the .54 rang up well below marked priced...)

Don't have any photos, but I picked up an older Craftsman Professional circular saw and 6 Jorgenson Woodworking clamps for $75 at a garage sale on Saturday. I'd say I made out pretty good.

I am really starting to want some European tools after some of the things I've seen here on GJ.

Ryan: Smokin' deal on the torque wrench!

Jeff: Your video is hilarious. Reminds me of a joke..........

Where are you guys buying the NWS pliers from? From what I've gathered, it seems to be a member on here, but I can't find the thread.

(www.german-hand-tools.com) He is ash95608 here at the garagejournal,
My experience has been more then excellent dealing with Ash, he will answer any questions you may have, he inspects all tools before shipping, his packing method is perfect and all my orders have been received very quickly from the time of order.

How do the Knipex long nose pliers (26 12 200) compare to the NWS long nose pliers (140-69-205)?

-Bp

Aside from holding the nws in my hand for 1 minute, i can only say that the action on the Knipex is smoother then the NWS, yet the NWS feel much more stout in the hand and the finish is superior, both grips are comfortable and either are quality tools that will give you many years of duty. Aside from that the Knipex would seem to be more available to the consumer.
