Matco's PINLESS joints are very similar to craftsman. Matco's are a fraction slimmer and can fit in more spaces come to find out. They say usa on it. Not sure who makes them. Matco maybe lol?

uploadfromtaptalk1410621780790.jpg Sixty bucks at the Menards fire sale, need a 9/16 x beam to complete things. Anyway, this should be 300 worth of tools. They said guys were going out with carts absolutely full yesterday.

So I made a trip to Menards and to a Flea Market that took me forever to find. Spend a total of $25 at menards and $28 at the Flea Market. That flea market had some different napa pullers for $5 a pop new. Some Napa 3/4" impact socket sets for $25 in a metal box new. Comes with like 5 - 7 sockets. A lot of new napa stuff. I ended up with a Mac 1/4" locking extension, a steering wheel puller, a Mac tray you can hang off something, and some snap ring pliers. Menards I ended up with some Allen crows feet which oddly had two 15mm and no 17mm. Long screwdrivers, gearwrench ratcheting screwdriver set, and one of those adapter sets where you can use a ratcheting wrench with a socket.

After buying a 7/8" proto one to use on a 22mm bolt on my truck I discovered the value in these on tight fits. Anyway went looking for a metric set and found these. Got them today and they seem really nice.

Was in the area of HF so picked up the Composite ratchets, and wobbly extensions, all had good reviews, and across the street a ways is an AutoZone so I picked up the Duralast 3/8 and fine tooth 3/8.

A year ago I would have buying Craftsman, thank your idiot sales people!

Wanted a set of torx for work. Talked to snap on about piecing together a set and wondering how much it would cost. He talked and looked at blue point. He spoke to early and said it would be about 50 bucks. I told him I'd be sold at 50. He spoke to soon and his Cost was 75. Got them for 50 with the magnetic rail.

I'll get pictures on Monday.

New Snap On driver invited me to drop by over the weekend to check out some specials and promos he was running. This might be the beginning of an expensive relationship.......

My Menards is fairly picked over by now. Not much left of the USA Masterforce clearance items. I picked up these gear wrench stubbies all in for about $25 bucks. I'm missing the 12mm, 7/16 and 1/2. I will try to find those at other stores to complete the sets.

I needed ANOTHER set of stubbies like I need a hole in my head, but my tool OCD will not allow me to pass up tools that are 75%-80% off. lol

Yep 90 tooth. The screw has some weird clear glue over them. I guess to tell if they have been tampered with?

Kabo does that on all of their ratcheting wrenches. I don't know if it's to seal it or to keep inquiring minds fingers out of the mechanism. :dunno:

are they spline or 12 point at both ends? the ratcheting end doesn't have capstop does it? it looks like a flat washer is on top.

They are spline gotta say I didn't realize that. Will see how I like it.

Capstop? I just opened them up and checked for any major issues. They are bday present. Don't get them for over a month.

Cleveland. We rock.
Out of a bunch of stuff I got with the toolbox bought for my nephews' birthday, I'm keeping a nice set of these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-2-inch-dr...1410649440&pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&vxp=mtr

Identical to that, even the 1" and 11/16" is different than the others just like that one.

And 3/4, 15/16, 1" raised panel SK combos, a 45170 3/8 ratchet. I also snagged a Wright 705 7 piece SAE wrench set off ebay.

My next major purchase will be quality metric wrenches methinks.

Pete
