After 4 weeks, my dealer finaly got all the pieces in for the 1/2" impact socket deal. $475.00. Cleaned him out of the last of his stubby screwdrivers as well. Damn good day.:thumbup:

What was the socket deal? I just brought the fuel master set

Dealer said it was a promo from the Florida convention. Buy the 1/2" long standard and metric impact sockets, get the short standard and metric free, with the extension + wobble set thrown in. $475 total, just under $1100 list. My dealer said he bought a **** ton of them. Might just pick up another set or two next week to eBay, gotta check the sold listings first though.

Short SAE 3/8" - 1", Long SAE 1/2" - 1", Metrics are both 10 - 19. Didn't have any 1/2" impact stuff yet so this was a hell of a good deal for me.

What was the master fuel disconnect deal, haven't seen that one yet.

Screwdrivers at the house were getting pretty ratty. Gave them to a kid in town who tinkers with mountain bikes. Old Craftman and Stanley stuff. He was happy.
My upgrade. PH0 hex and a five piece hammerable Hazet kit :) and a few big Proto Pros PH3 and 4 and a couple stubbies and long flats . The Picquik was at the post office.

is it juvenile of me that I laughed at the serial number ?

Why yes... Yes it is! Of course I'm laughing with you :bounce:

Thanks for pointing that out.:D

Those crazy Germans!

So far, I love them! The blades are smooth so they don't leave a serrated edge in the material, comfortable handle that seems like it relies more on leverage than your hands squeezing. 18 and 20 ga no problem and does 16ga with a little more pressure. Not sure if I would want to cut a whole lot of 16, but a little trimming or notching here and there seems like it would be perfect for. I plan on buying the left offset and straight sets soon.

Returning the puller because it doesn't actually work (you still have to pull the box on a gmt400, so I just used my regular one again, need to buy the snap on one). The torque wrench was just a warranty cuz the damn teeth stripped before I hit 37 ft-lbs :headscrat

The beer is good though.

Never heard of teng. Good brand?
They are okay as long as you mostly stay to sockets and wrenches, their tool boxes are fine too. Its a made in Taiwan brand and is often the best stuff carried by toolshops that are not specialist and also you find them in a fair few motor factors. It not cheap but its no pro money either, and that set was a deal at £22.
I have had almost the same set in a tool roll for a good few years and they hold up to diy use fine, I have slightly deformed the open end on a 10mm but also put an 18" tube over the 19mm without damage. The satin chrome finish is rough though.

I'm doing that same class next week

I was waiting for you to chime in  it wasn't that bad of a class, the hardest thing for me was waking up early to go to it, since I've been a swing shift guy for 2 years. About 60/40 for classroom/lab time, you learn a lot actually!

What is the SKU on those. I have the small set I bought at advanced auto parts a while ago, but would like a bigger one. I don't use them all the time, but when I do they come in handy.
