I need to stop getting on the truck when my Snap-On guy comes to the shop... I always walk off the truck with something new, and less money than before I got on...

Wish I had a new arrival to post.. just pondering for now. A nice 1/2 drive 3/8 bit socket is at the top of the list.. I just broke two of them today!

Maybeeee I'll wait to buy it at school with the discount.. or not! :D

I think the only complaints i've seen on them is that the handles aren't the most comfortable thing in the world, but that's personal preference.

Would you say they're an improvement over the plastic Cmans? I've been looking at these.

Horrible work holding in a few of the mills at work. We need to make the test samples quickly so the RPM and feed rate goes way up, and at the same time there's no way to hold the darn thing except with two HALF INCH clamps on either end (8" long part). Those are held in by 1/2-13 bolts screwed into a plate on the table... which isn't bad, but when you're taking an inch of material off, you reallllllllly need to tighten them down. Most of the stuff we cut is inconel, monel, waspaloy, beta titanium.. basically nasty stuff.

I use nothing less than an 18 inch breaker, and throw a little anti seize on the threads.. If we don't crank them down, then the parts kick out which ruins them, and gets us back into the frying pan. This isn't replaceable material, it's test samples from the company to us. So really it's either make it right or go home on the first try. Thus the need for a darn bit socket that won't explode.

Does anyone know the tooth count of this ratchet? I picked up a SK 45170 at a garage sale 2 weeks ago, great ratchet, just curious.

Went to the local Sears to pickup my online order for the lighted magnetic pickup tool and ended up with a couple other things. The clearance section was just too tempting, the socket set was $14.97 and the 9 piece set was $5.97. Just couldn't pass them up. They had a bunch of sockets and a couple other things too. I bought the snap ring pliers a couple weeks ago, just getting around to a picture now.

The =V= series 1/4 Craftsman stuff is from a member here. That little spring/flex extension is awesome. And now I have to take another set of updated pictures of my tool chest. :D

Latest eBay find and restoration project. I'm in Canada so finding a Wilton or other quality vise has been really tough.

This one was in NorCal so the shipping, while 3x the cost of the vise, wasn't horrendous. Not planning on making money on this one but should be a nice project to keep me busy and hopefully something that will last me long enough I won't mind the $80 I'm into it for.

Well my new "Wiha" wrenches arrived

and as shoturtle mentioned... they are made by heyco and they are thin profile

funny...they call them wiha wrenches but there is no stamp for wiha ... just heyco

i like the thin profile... i'm not sure how i feel about how light they are... feels like air in the shape of wrenches

not bad though for $51... will be a good home set.

to show the thin profile i used the 21mm wrench...the others are thinner

Yea i would have bought it too, but i only paid a grand more for mine brand new from the snap on guy, so i cant complain THAT much i guess.

Did you get it for his cost? That box is $5600 new.

$1500 is a steal in my neck of the woods. I did spend a couple hours on it removing stickers and using some goo gone on the adhesive but when I was done it looked brand new. My dealer said he would give me $3K trade in value for it but I think I'll keep it.

Yes im aware of the price of the box. I agree completely that is a good deal, thats why i said i would have bought it too, no question.

But i looked for months for used boxes and even the used ones around my area were more than i paid (and i looked states all around me, i was willing to drive hours for the right one)

After trade in of my boxes and the "promo" they had which was the black and chrome 722 with a black and chrome solus, but i didnt need the solus, so i got the box for a better deal, and i brought him cash , $2600 and he delivered the box to my work that day. That was the best deal around for me.
